Overall Rationale: Wins and losses matter most. At this stage of the season, if you beat someone, you have to be ahead of them. I think the most impressive win of last weekend was the way Miami dominated USF the way they did, and that boosts them to the #1 spot. Notre Dame falls out of the top 25 because while some teams in these rankings are 4-0, Notre Dame is winless. Win any one game if you really wanna get back in the top 25. Texas plummets as they continue to have very poor QB play and have zero wins over good teams. Keeping it close with Ohio State can only push you so far, now it's time for Texas to get actually impressive wins. Blow out Sam Houston by 40 or 50. Beat a power opponent. Do something, or else you're at risk of falling fully out of my top 25. Georgia had a pretty good road win at Tennessee. Not dominating as it went to Overtime, but that's a tough place to play. I also gave Tennessee a bit of a boost for keeping it as close as they did. They're only afforded this boost because they actually have a couple wins to go along with that loss, unlike some other teams. Texas A&M gets a leap into the rankings for actually pulling off the upset of Notre Dame, as does Tulane for getting their 2nd blowout noncon power win. They're going for 3 this week at Ole Miss. Vandy didn't get much of a boost for blowing out South Carolina because I happen to think SC is an outright bad team, even with Sellers. USF plummets but does stay in my top 25 for now off of their previous 2 wins, especially the win over Boise State. Indiana joins the top 10 this week. While most of their rise has to do with the teams around them, I did give a retroactive bump to them for their win over Old Dominion in week 1, which looks better now that ODU has finished demolishing Virginia Tech. Oklahoma didn't let the potential trap game fool them as they dominated Temple on the road, which gave them a boost up. I am typically an SEC hater, and I do actively cheer for their teams to lose frequently. However, the bottom of these ranking being littered with SEC teams does seem fair enough to me for now based on how they've played so far this year. That's not always the case, but at least for now, SOME of the accolades being put on the SEC seem legitimate. Of course, the AP's order of the SEC teams is insane, but the total number isn't super far off in my opinion. It's 4am so this is more of a rough writing, but be sure to yell at me and tell me how stupid I am!
