ogsmurf826 Ballot for 2025 Week 4

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Sept. 15, 2025, 5:24 p.m.

Overall Rationale: Games & Highlights watched plus personal feelings of likelihood to compete for a playoff spot. (May become hybrid in future ballots; rebuilding out old computer formula). Warnings Addressed: Texas - I really don't believe, but in my first 5 out. South Carolina - In first 5 out. Sellers will probably be a Heisman finalist but were saw to a degree that if he's ever contained then the rest of the offense can't compliment. Notre Dame - In first 5 out. They gotta get a good looking win. Clemson - In first 5 out. Tough start to season, think they will bounce back but maybe not ACC CCG. TCU - UNC not as good as we thought. Weak schedule for dropping them. Arizona State - First 5 out.

Rank Team Reason
Ohio State Buckeyes Serious Contender
Georgia Bulldogs Serious Contender
Oregon Ducks Serious Contender
Ole Miss Rebels Serious Contender
Texas A&M Aggies Serious Contender
Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets Haynes Kings makes me believe
Miami Hurricanes Serious Contender
Iowa State Cyclones Serious Contender
Vanderbilt Commodores Diego Pavia makes me believe
Penn State Nittany Lions Playing Good Ball ... but I want to see more / Crowded at the Top
Tennessee Volunteers Playing Good Ball ... but I want to see more / Crowded at the Top
Oklahoma Sooners Playing Good Ball ... but I want to see more / Crowded at the Top
Florida State Seminoles Playing Good Ball ... but I want to see more / Crowded at the Top
Texas Tech Red Raiders Playing Good Ball ... but I want to see more / Crowded at the Top
Illinois Fighting Illini Playing Good Ball ... but I want to see more / Crowded at the Top
Utah Utes Playing Good Ball ... but I want to see more / Crowded at the Top
USC Trojans Looking the part
LSU Tigers Dropped for struggling vs what seems will be bad/average team in the end
UNLV Rebels Looking the part of the 5th Conference Champ Autobid
Indiana Hoosiers I don't fully believe but they are looking the part. Illinois should be a good one but afraid Illinois will run away with it.
Tulane Green Wave USF & Tulane: I essentially swapped their spots. Hopefully they are on a collision course for the American CCG. Like last week USF had a chance to prove themselves (and bombed) this week Tulane gets to show how they stack up
California Golden Bears Playing decent ball and are a fun team to follow.
NC State Wolfpack Grinding out some wins, let's see if it continues
Houston Cougars Feels they they will be there (CCG) at the end for the BIG 12 madness that may repeat what occurred last season.
Michigan Wolverines :)
