GatorBolt Ballot for 2025 Week 4

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Sept. 15, 2025, 10:23 a.m.

Rank Team Reason
Ohio State Buckeyes Defending champions with a strong defensive performance against Texas on the resume. Until another team impresses me more, I defer to the defending champions as my number 1 team.
Miami Hurricanes Passing the smell test so far, and if the defense keeps playing how they have instead of whatever you call that unit last year the sky is the limit for the Canes.
Georgia Bulldogs While there is an expanded playoff, the regular season is still all about survival, and they showed a lot of guts in Neyland.
Florida State Seminoles With Alabama's performance the other day, it appears the answer to Week 1 may be that it was more about FSU being good after all.
Texas A&M Aggies Gutsy win in South Bend. Could this be the year it all comes together for the Aggies?
LSU Tigers Defense looks good, and can't argue with a win at Clemson on the resume even if Clemson has been less than impressive so far. The offense worries me against more competent opponents.
Penn State Nittany Lions Took care of business in non conference, not much more to add than that.
Oregon Ducks So far so good.
Illinois Fighting Illini Looking very good so far, first test comes this week and I can't wait.
Oklahoma Sooners Well they put St. Joe's band to work Saturday.
Texas Tech Red Raiders Maaayyybeee a little too high but I'm sold on the eye test.
Iowa State Cyclones Bit of a slog against Arkansas State, but in the end they have taken care of business.
Ole Miss Rebels Backup going off against Arkansas? I'm intrigued.
Tennessee Volunteers Pain
Alabama Crimson Tide Reports of the Crimson Tide's death may have been greatly exagerrated. Can't say the same about the Badgers.
Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets That win over Clemson and how their schedule is shaping out has made me notice them.
Indiana Hoosiers Took care of business in non-conference, and a huge test this Saturday.
Utah Utes Took care of business in Laramie in a matchup that evoked memories of the old WAC and MWC. Huge test against Texas Tech this week.
Texas Longhorns Maybe a little low but I am not high on Arch at all seeing the year so far so I'm scared.
Michigan Wolverines Central Michigan provided a nice bounceback. Nebraska should be a solid test to see where the Wolverines are at.
Auburn Tigers Solid returns so far, but Oklahoma will be a good test to see where they're at.
Missouri Tigers So far so good, probably no complaints having a resume including a win over Kansas
USC Trojans So far so good, decided to reward them for 3-0
Vanderbilt Commodores Diego Pavia.
Tulane Green Wave Decided to give one G6 team some love and I think Tulane is the best team in the G6 so far.
