1 Ohio State Buckeyes Currently one of the best teams in the land, great on both Offense and Defense. Great win over Texas to start the year.
2 Penn State Nittany Lions Looks good, but untested. I can't penalize them for their schedule, as they have handled business.
3 LSU Tigers Very high on LSU, I think they are a good team, and if Corso favors them to win it all, I think they may have a little magic this year.
4 Miami Hurricanes They have a team that won against ND and has taken care of business.
5 Oregon Ducks Good team this year, big fan of Dan Lanning. They pants OKST, which may not be what it used to be, but an impressive win nevertheless.
6 Georgia Bulldogs Played sloppy, but got the win. They need to find that spark that made the Georgia world-beaters with a parity-filled SEC.
7 Florida State Seminoles Manhandled Bama and their cupcake. Looked strong on all sides of the ball.
8 Texas Longhorns Arch may have found his rhythm, but remains to be seen. Only loss was against Ohio St., and should bounce back in coming weeks.
9 Notre Dame Fighting Irish Only loss is to good Miami team, but game versus TAMU will be a test. Has an easy schedule after them, so even with a loss I don't foresee them falling out of top 25 unless major upset happens.
10 Illinois Fighting Illini I don't think Duke is a good team, but they handled business. Upcoming weeks will test the Illini's mettle.
11 Tennessee Volunteers I am very high on this Tennessee team. Aguilar is legit, and if I had to bet, I would have them winning over Georgia due to how organized they are compared to Kirby's squad.
12 Iowa State Cyclones Some good wins so far, I think they may have one of the easiest remaining schedules for the CFP hopefuls. I think they will be favored in every matchup from here on out.
13 Oklahoma Sooners Mateer is impressive, and the win over Michigan was a great addition to their resume. They have a tough stretch coming up, but a good showing could help them make it to the CFP with even a few loses.
14 South Carolina Gamecocks No impressive wins, but took care of business. Rough schedule, so like OU, just do your best and even a 9-3 SC team will probably make it in.
15 Ole Miss Rebels Lane train not as dominant versus Kentucky as hoped, but still got the win. Next game versus the piggies gonna be as easy a second conference game can be in the SEC. Tons of parity in SEC, so quality losses are abound.
16 Texas A&M Aggies Not dominant, but not a pushover in both wins. ND will be a great game, and an upset could mean CFP hopes remain alive in College Station.
17 USF Bulls Massive upset over Boise and UF to start the year, USF needs to make good use of Alex Golesh before he's poached, and I believe they will. A decently close game, or even better, a win versus Miami could really let USF run away with the G5 bid.
18 Clemson Tigers They probably should have lost the game versus a bad Troy squad who looked terrible versus Nichols State. Team is talented enough to win CFP, but are they motivated enough. I don't think so. GT might have a massive upset if Clemson played like they did versus the Trojans.
19 Utah Utes No major test yet, but took care of business. Sneaky team that might make noise if they can get past Texas Tech.
20 Missouri Tigers Darth Mizzou handled Kansas in a rivalry game. I believe Kansas is a pretty good team, so more impressive to me. If they beat SC, their draw of SEC games may be fortunate for CFP hopes.
21 Texas Tech Red Raiders Very impressive offense showing versus inferior opponents. Test versus Utah in coming weeks going to show who they really are.
22 Indiana Hoosiers Similar to Texas Tech, except less impressive. Game versus Illinois is one to watch.
23 Auburn Tigers Hugh Freeze might have just one more week ranked, looking at their schedule. If they can go at least 50/50 in next 4 SEC games, it would be great for CFP changes. Just as likely to lose all as to win though.
24 Michigan Wolverines Lost to good OU team. Plenty of season left, but can really put foot back on pedal to get in the hunt. Lucked out on Big 10 schedule, decent chance to be favored in all games but Ohio State.
25 Tulane Green Wave A contender versus USF for G5 spot. Played a bit too close to South Alabama, but I believe they have a very talented team. Should be favored in every game except against Ole Miss.
