1 LSU Tigers The Clemson win's value is suddenly in question, and LSU's struggles with Louisiana Tech aren't providing easy answers. Not dethroned for now, but LSU needs to prove it fast.
2 Penn State Nittany Lions Slow start, but eventually got things moving.
3 Oklahoma Sooners Statement win over the most recently confirmed national champions.
4 Georgia Bulldogs I thought dawgs would do better than that in a Peay-ing contest.
5 Oregon Ducks Nice.
6 Ohio State Buckeyes Still waiting on a stumble from above, or an opponent that can prove their defense is legit. I'm not sure how many of either will happen this season.
7 Utah Utes Took care of business.
8 Florida State Seminoles Nobody was sitting here.
9 Texas Tech Red Raiders This seat wasn't taken.
10 Michigan Wolverines Showed some flashes against the best defense in college ball. If Underwood can keep his composure while a 314-pound angry man attempts to violently decompose him, Michigan will go far this season. If not, they'll have more games like that one.
11 Iowa State Cyclones Although Iowa State is 3-0, their FBS wins are by a combined 6 points, and none of their victims have any FBS wins. Fortunately, Iowa State will have plenty of chances to prove they really do belong here.
12 Louisville Cardinals We all saw that. Everyone saw Louisville nearly lose to JMU at home, needing a 2-point conversion and two 4th-quarter TDs to make it look like the game was less close than it really was. You won't be able to do that again in conference play.
13 Alabama Crimson Tide Jeez, okay, we get it Alabama, you got revenge for Nick.
14 Arizona Wildcats Met expectations.
15 Vanderbilt Commodores Joins the growing cohort of SEC teams with a P4 win on their resumes.
16 South Carolina Gamecocks Why does the offensive line look like it can't handle the physicality of SC State?
17 Tennessee Volunteers Winning the breakup.
18 Miami Hurricanes No upsets here.
19 USF Bulls A second ranked game, a second shocking upset for USF. We're now at the point of the season where Bulls fans should start wishing *against* upsets, as it's USF which will now be favored from here on out.
