Overall Rationale: I cannot express how badly I wanted to put Tarleton State in at 25 instead. Next 5 out are texas, Oklahoma, Alabama, Clemson, BYU

Defense looks great, huge win over texas. I’m definitely overreacting by dropping tu out all the way but they will (hopefully not) bounce back and find themselves ranked again. Regardless Ohio State is the far and away favorite to win it all and should be considered such until proven otherwise. |

And the team that tried to prove otherwise certainly made their case. So long as Cristobal doesn’t allow too many more 4th quarter collapses. But when has he ever done that? Impressive win nonetheless for Miami. |

LSU should be considered the favorite to win the SEC at this point. I’d love to see them crash and burn but nobody else has stepped up to do that yet. Clemson is not a bad team, though they aren’t great anymore. Again I am probably overreacting by dropping Clemson out but Cade Klubnik has done nothing to convince me he can lead them to a playoff win. |

Put some respect on a win over the alleged flagship of the state of Nevada. I’m sure that’s important to someone. |

A hollow shell of what Marshall used to be is a bit difficult to judge against. |

Big win over an absolute FCS contender. Just don’t lose your heads yet, you still have a ways to go. |

I’m quite high on South Carolina this year. I really like the gamecocks. If these cocks can keep impressing me, they’ll continue to rise surely. |
8 |
![]() |
I know Syracuse isn’t what it was last year, but I think Fran Brown is creating a great program up there. I think Tennessee looks much better without the Iamaleava than with him. Excuse me while I go throw up. |

Hey a win over KState and absolutely demolishing South Dakota is nothing to sneeze at. Certainly not without blemishes but looks to continue their upward climb. |

I’ll admit I have not watched any of their game or read up on them, but given I haven’t heard Michigan fans whining I will assume it went decently. They can show this upcoming week if they deserve this spot. |
11 |
![]() |
I think Colorado is a decent team. I think that was a really solid win. And yeah, I’ll say it, I like Haynes King. Yeah, I know controversial, but I like his moxie. |

I get it. It’s hard to judge this team against NAU. Any time NAU plays a big Arizona school we should toss everything we think we know out a window because Cleopatra herself set a desert curse upon those matchups that makes it really difficult to gauge anything. |

Nothing about that game changed my opinions on Ole Miss and this is a reflection of that. Any change in position is more a reflection of my changing perceptions of other teams. I wish we could go back to a time where we don’t have to perceive Ole Miss. Where did we go wrong as a country? |

THATS A 2-0 START FOR KANSAS and now they’ll have to show it with Mizzou who I Have hovering at 32. |

This is a good team. USF this week is a sneaky good team. UF needs to not get caught looking ahead to LSU, Miami, texas, and Texas A&M. For the love of god Billy do not fuck this up. |

Yes it was only Eastern Kentucky, the lesser of the directional Kentuckys. But, I think Louisville is a nice squad this year. We really won’t know for a few weeks so this is instead just my vibes. |

The UTSA game was closer than the score indicates. UTSA is certainly a dark horse contender for the AAC, but this does not instill me with confidence. |
18 |

The fight back at the end is the reason you didn’t drop out entirely. And honestly I have you far too high compared to the others I dropped out entirely. Now next week you have to show us whether that fight back is an aspect of this team and a strength, or if it was just Mario Cristobal nearly choking again and I should push you further down. |

I honestly expected more. ETAMU isn’t exactly a powerhouse. I’m not sure if it was a depth thing where SMU’s second string is just that steep of a drop off, but I was honestly shocked it wasn’t a complete and utter 70-3 blowout. |

Hey it’s another week 1 poll in yet another year where I’m like yes this is the year USC becomes relevant again. Yes it’s only MoSt, but dropping 70+ on an FBS opponent is nasty work, even if they’re brand new. |

The weird thing is, the only horny frog on the sideline was Bill Belichick. |
22 |
![]() |
The funniest outcome would be FSU losing every other game this year. And while I was trash talking ETAMU earlier with SMU, it does give us a bit of a barometer between the two. |

I mean it’s a win over Western Illinois, they’re like my 5th favorite Illinois public university. But next week they’ll get a chance to make some noise against Duke. I know some folks think I’m crazy saying that, and they’d be correct. |
24 |

I have mixed feelings. I think Buffalo will be a strong team this year. I also think Minnesota should’ve won by more, though that one drive that lasted longer than Bill Belichick can ayoooo. |

Absolutely walloped Arkansas Pine Bluff. When I was driving through Arkansas after the eclipse a couple years ago we passed by and it was much smaller than I expected. Anyways we’ll probably not get a great read on TTU until their Utah game, unless they absolutely shit the bed against Kent State which would be hilarious. |
