2 Ohio State Buckeyes Only loss is to #1 team by 1 on the road and will have the chance to rematch them if they can finally beat Michigan
3 Texas Longhorns Only 1 loss team left in SEC and played the second worst game of the year and still won by 17 promising looking ahead to A&M but need to win to feel comfortably in the playoffs
4 Notre Dame Fighting Irish Outside of the slip up with NIU they have played really good against their schedule and being anti-troops has paid off getting two good wins vs army and navy
5 Penn State Nittany Lions Struggled against Minnesota has once again shown that James Franklin is going to struggle in the playoffs but they do keep winning despite what the SEC wants
6 SMU Mustangs SMU has had a really good season and has a chance to win their conference championship back to back year despite jumping to the vaunted ACC
7 Boise State Broncos They are clearly a worse team now than they were in September but hopefully they can win the mwc and get a buy to get some some of their players back and Jeanty healthy again
8 Georgia Bulldogs Georgia played their cupcake but all of the other sec competitors decided this was their week to lose so they clinch a spot in the sec title game but their defense giving 21 to umass isn’t a good sign for things to come
9 Miami Hurricanes Miami hasn’t played a great total team game but at least the second half this week shows what they could be if they put it together
10 Tennessee Volunteers Tennessee did what they needed beating utep but ultimately Vanderbilt will be their test to make the playoffs
11 Indiana Hoosiers Indiana went up 7 and got a goal line stop and it was looking good but ultimately Ohio st is just in a different tier that Indiana. Thankfully for the Hoosiers the sec decided to implode
12 Clemson Tigers Clemson did what they needed to do but with the biggest palmetto bowl in recent years to show the committee they deserve to make it
13 Arizona State Sun Devils Arizona st may have prematurely stormed the field but now they are in the drivers seat to making the big 12 championship game they just need to avoid pac 12 voodoo and beat Arizona
14 Alabama Crimson Tide Alabama decided they didn’t want auburn to ruin their season so they let Oklahoma to show their fans hope that Brett may be a good coach
15 Ole Miss Rebels Ole miss decided to do the same and not let miss st have a chance and just lost to Florida who has actually played well
16 South Carolina Gamecocks South Carolina has a chance to beat Clemson and ruin their season and an outside chance of just making the playoffs
17 Iowa State Cyclones Iowa st also controls their destiny this weekend despite the back to back losses they find a way to win in Utah and hopefully they don’t give their fans heart attacks
18 BYU Cougars BYU has had a great season but with consecutive losses they find themselves looking for help to make the big 12 championship and Utah finds a way to screw them even when they don’t play
19 UNLV Rebels Unlv has a chance to make the playoffs with a win vs Boise st in the conference championship but need a win to make it
20 Tulane Green Wave Tulane has had a good season but their losses out of conference has hurt their chances to make the inaugural playoffs but a win vs Memphis and army will help
21 Illinois Fighting Illini Illinois is penn st light where they can only beat teams they are supposed to and struggle against Minnesota
22 Memphis Tigers Memphis has played really well only losing to a good navy and utsa but have played really well against everyone else
23 Texas A&M Aggies Loss to auburn is tough even more so when they had every thing to play for. But everything is ahead of them with a chance to beat Texas win the sec and playoffs in their hands
24 Army West Point Army has had a good season but like Icarus flew to close to the sun and got beaten by the Irish. But they have had a great season and a chance to win the aac in their first season
25 Colorado Buffaloes Hunter is really good however the team isn’t but they still have a chance at the big 12 championship game somehow despite their poor showing in Kansas
