Overall Rationale: Poll is based on previous cfp poll and how the team performed in last weeks game. (army dropped in this poll for their notre dame loss)

1 Oregon Ducks bye week
2 Ohio State Buckeyes great win against indiana. not sure i can justify them over oregon though just cause of the head to head result.
3 Texas Longhorns kinda shaky against kentucky at times but got the job done. no harm, no foul.
4 Notre Dame Fighting Irish great dominant win against another armed forces team. likely locked in for the playoffs now with that win and are poised to go on a run.
5 Penn State Nittany Lions got lucky with the chaos of this week by barely edging out a win against minnesota. will be on fraud watch though once the playoffs roll around.
6 Miami Hurricanes nice win against wake forest and they will benefit from the chaos.
7 Georgia Bulldogs tune up game against umass but they did get off to a little slow of a start. interested to see how they handle ga tech next week.
8 Indiana Hoosiers just a terrible game from start to finish against ohio state and they'd probably drop out of the top 10 in a normal week.
9 Tennessee Volunteers i mean they played utep so there isn't much to say, but i don't think they deserve to be over indiana just because they lose a game on the road against arguably the best team in the nation.
10 Boise State Broncos finally deserve to be in the top 10 even with a relatively poor showing against wyoming.
11 SMU Mustangs great win against virginia and position to sneak into a top 4 seed if they can win the acc.
12 Ole Miss Rebels pretty bad day in the swamp but they'll survive most of the damage because they played so early in the day. jaxson dart needs to lock in if they want to compete in the playoffs though.
13 Alabama Crimson Tide i mean jalen milroe what the hell are we doing. get a field goal and then shut out against OKLAHOMA????? their one saving grace is that byu, texas a&m, AND colorado all lost this week but they'll be on upset watch next week with auburn.
14 Clemson Tigers nice buy game against the citadel but are really gonna be tested next week with south carolina.
15 South Carolina Gamecocks speaking of south carolina, they also had a nice buy game except against wofford, but their fate wiil come down to next week with clemson.
16 Arizona State Sun Devils PHENOMENAL win against byu even though things got very concerning in the 4th quarter. this last weekend of big12 football is gonna be one for the ages.
17 BYU Cougars tough loss against arizona state where they dug themselves into a hole they couldn't crawl out of. gonna need some help next week to play in the title.
18 Tulane Green Wave with army out of the way now thanks to notre dame, tulane looks like the aac's best chance at a cinderella cfp run, especially with some more chaos in the big12.
19 Iowa State Cyclones win and you're in. great win at utah and maybe a shot at the cfp now.
20 Texas A&M Aggies heartbreaking loss at auburn but still can bounceback with texas next week to get back in the playoffs.
21 Colorado Buffaloes it was never really close with kansas and now it's not looking good for thei big12 championship chances. ashton jeanty might be able to put the heisman on lock here soon.
22 Missouri Tigers nice road win at mississippi state but not much movement is going to be happening down here.
23 UNLV Rebels same as before not much movement but it'll be interesting to see if they can keep up with boise state again in the mwc championship game.
24 Kansas State Wildcats hoping the wildcats will be ranked somewhere here after a nice domination of cincinnati, especially with a shot at the big12 championship game.
25 Illinois Fighting Illini kinda struggled with rutgers but they took care of business so i see no reason to drop them out of the rankings
