1 Oregon Ducks [11-0] Undisputed best record with two incredible wins (Ohio State & Boise State).
2 Indiana Hoosiers [10-0] No marque wins, but a school best run. Tough to rank because they haven't beaten anyone.
3 Texas Longhorns [9-1] It turns out Georgia was their one good game this season, and they lost.
4 Ohio State Buckeyes [9-1] Win against a top 10 Penn State, 1 point loss to Oregon, and they have absolutely dominated the rest of the B1G.
5 Miami Hurricanes [9-1] Suspect defense shows in loss to Georgia Tech. Still a top-8 team.
6 BYU Cougars [9-1] Being punished for the inexplicable loss to Kansas. Still a remarkably competent team.
7 SMU Mustangs [9-1] Only loss is to a one loss BYU, Hard to judge how good they are without a true marquee opponent.
8 Boise State Broncos [9-1] Only loss is to #1 by a field goal.
9 Ole Miss Rebels [8-2] Two rather insane wins, and a head to head win over Georgia.
10 Georgia Bulldogs [8-2] Losses to Bama and Georgia, and a great win vs Clemson, Texas, and Tennessee.
11 Penn State Nittany Lions [9-1] Lost to Ohio State by one score, have handled the rest of a weak schedule well.
12 Notre Dame Fighting Irish [9-1] Still has the worst loss of the season.
13 Tennessee Volunteers [8-2] Loss to Oklahoma is embarrassing
14 Alabama Crimson Tide [8-2] The win over Georgia is great, Missouri / LSU are average, and losses to Vanderbilt and Tennessee. Incredibly hard to judge.
15 Texas A&M Aggies [8-2 Have literally lost every good team they've played. Tough to be impressed.
16 Clemson Tigers [8-2] Close wins to average teams, and a blowout loss to Georgia. Hard to be impressed.
17 Army West Point [9-0] I want to rank them higher. I really do. But American team.
18 Colorado Buffaloes [8-2] Hard to believe Deion has them rolling so well. Nebraska loss is a head scratcher. Travis Hunter playing two positions mediocrely does not impress me.
19 Arizona State Sun Devils [8-2] Maybe the least hyped 8-2 team in the country. Hard to find an impressive win, but hard to find a win against a team that didn't have some hype (except Kansas).
20 Iowa State Cyclones [8-2] A team that has never won 10 games has lost 2 of their last three. Is it bad I don't want the streak to end? They could loss Farmageddon.
21 Tulane Green Wave [9-2] Losses to the two P4 teams they played. Hard to be impressed.
22 Illinois Fighting Illini [7-3] Someone has to be ranked.
23 South Carolina Gamecocks [7-3] They have a great win over TAMU, plus wins over competitive spoilers (Kentucky and Vanderbilt?)
24 Kansas State Wildcats [7-3] Ranking them solely on klieman's ability as a coach!
25 Syracuse Orange [7-3] Have a good win over... UNLV?
