2 Ohio State Buckeyes Who would have thought preseason that their biggest November game of the Year would be Indiana.
3 Texas Longhorns Not the prettiest win, but a rivalry win is a rivalry win.
4 Indiana Hoosiers Regardless of anything, the season has been a massive success for the Hoosiers. That said, what an opportunity they have in Columbus this Saturday. Can't wait.
5 Penn State Nittany Lions Taking care of business again, seems like the Lions are cruising towards a playoff berth.
6 Notre Dame Fighting Irish Hopefully they can put a better big game performance in the Bronx than Aaron Judge.
7 Alabama Crimson Tide Tide rolling well, now a game they should win in Norman.
8 Ole Miss Rebels Moving up in a Week off isn't bad. That said, their next game in the Swamp has some spoiler potential with Lagway on the other side.
9 Georgia Bulldogs Lots of questions about Georgia, but a great performance against Tennessee and now the path is clear for a playoff berth.
10 Tennessee Volunteers Good team this year, but there's going to be questions of what ifs with letting the Arkansas game slip and the Georgia game get away from them.
11 Boise State Broncos Ashton Jeanty.
12 BYU Cougars Still in the driver's seat of the Big 12, but you can only play with fire for so long before you get burnt.
13 SMU Mustangs The Pony Express keeps rolling. Still kept them behind BYU since I respect the Head to Head tiebreaker at this point.
14 Miami Hurricanes With a couple weeks for the disappointment against GT to subside, everything is still in front of them. Put up or Shut Up time.
15 Texas A&M Aggies Hard to glean anything from a November buy game. Can they put the dagger in Auburn's bowl eligibility?
16 Colorado Buffaloes Suddenly the path to Arlington is not hard to find.
17 Army West Point Great season for Army so far, but what an opportunity they have in the Bronx to make this a dream season for the black and gold.
18 Clemson Tigers They will need some help, but 7-1 is about as good as you can hope for as far as keeping your conference title hopes alive. For now, 18th is about right for the current state of Clemson.
19 South Carolina Gamecocks This is the jump that South Carolina fans wanted to see from Shane Beamer's boys this year. Great step forward.
20 Arizona State Sun Devils I've thought about ranking them in the past, no doubt now. After the cloudiness that they went through in the Herm years and it's ending, the sun is rising in Tempe.
21 Iowa State Cyclones I was a little harsh unranking them last week. Helps a lot of teams lost.
22 Tulane Green Wave Good season for the Green Wave so far as they punch their ticket for the AAC title. And it's great to see that the momentum of the Fritz years have kept up under Sumrall.
23 UNLV Rebels A bit under the radar this year, but a good year in Sin City.
24 Illinois Fighting Illini Also under the radar, but a good step forward so far this year for Bert's Illini.
25 Syracuse Orange Not a lot of options for 25th in these rankings, but I wanted to give some love to Fran Brown's squad for their season.
