Overall Rationale: I try to rank based mostly off performance, with light weighting put into team talent/preseason expectations. As the season goes on, preseason expectations for a team will be considered less and less. I do not take into account injuries

2 Miami Hurricanes Miami continues to win and their offense might be the best in the country. The question is always if their defense will hold up.
3 Indiana Hoosiers Indiana has dominated all year. They move up even higher to #3
4 Ohio State Buckeyes A big win at Penn State, but since they have 1 loss they are stuck at 4.
5 Georgia Bulldogs UGA struggled against a 3rd string QB at a neutral site against an unranked team. They move back to 5.
6 Texas Longhorns BYE
7 BYU Cougars BYU continues to win. Their resume is not that impressive but as long as they keep winning they will keep moving up.
8 Notre Dame Fighting Irish
9 Tennessee Volunteers
10 Penn State Nittany Lions Penn State has struggled some this year and then did not impress in the loss, so they drop to 10.
11 SMU Mustangs
12 Boise State Broncos
13 Iowa State Cyclones
