1 Oregon Ducks Oregon is my number 1 team. They are undefeated and have great wins over Ohio State (7-1), Boise State (7-1) as well as nice wins over Illinois (6-3) and Michigan (5-4)
2 BYU Cougars BYU is undefeated at 8-0. They have a really nice win over SMU (8-1) and also a nice win over Kansas State (7-2). Should be heavy favorites in the rest of their games.
3 Georgia Bulldogs Georgia is 7-1 with a tough loss to Alabama, but has nice wins over Texas (7-1) and Clemson (6-2)
4 Miami Hurricanes Miami is undefeated but doesn't have the quality of wins of the teams above them. Best wins are probably Louisville (6-3) and Duke (6-3).
5 Ohio State Buckeyes Ohio State jumps back up in my poll after a nice win over Penn State (7-1). Only loss is a close one to Oregon. Also have wins over Iowa (6-3)
6 SMU Mustangs SMU picked up a really nice win this weekend over Pitt (7-1). Also have wins over Louisville (6-3) and Duke (6-3). They've got a good shot at making the ACC title game with Miami. Only loss is a close loss to BYU.
7 Notre Dame Fighting Irish Notre Dame is 7-1 with a weird loss to Northern Illinois. They have nice wins over Texas A&M (7-2), Louisville, (6-3) and Navy (6-2)
8 Tennessee Volunteers Tennessee is 7-1 with a nice win over Alabama (6-2). Also have a win over Florida (4-4)
9 Indiana Hoosiers Indiana is undefeated at 9-0 and has been dominating everyone, but they lack any high quality wins. The best team they've beaten is probably Nebraska (5-4) or Washington (5-4)
10 Texas Longhorns Texas is 7-1 with wins over Vanderbilt (6-3) and Michigan (5-4)
11 Boise State Broncos Boise State is 7-1 with a close loss to Oregon. Has nice wins over Washington State (7-1) and UNLV (6-2)
12 Pittsburgh Panthers Pittsburgh dropped their first game to SMU. They are 7-1. Have a nice win over Syracuse (6-2) and Cincinnati (5-3)
13 Penn State Nittany Lions Penn State drops to 7-1 with their loss to Ohio State. Best wins are Illinois (6-3) and Wisconsin (5-4)
14 Alabama Crimson Tide Alabama is 6-2 with a really nice win over Georgia (7-1). Also has a win over Wisconsin (5-4)
15 Texas A&M Aggies Texas A&M dropped a bit in my poll after a loss to South Carolina. Still 7-2 with good wins over Missouri (6-2) and LSU (6-2)
16 LSU Tigers LSU is 6-2 with a good win over Ole Miss (7-2) and also a win over South Carolina (5-3)
17 Iowa State Cyclones Iowa State is 7-1 after losing to Texas tech. Best win is over Iowa (6-3). Also beat Baylor (5-4) and west virginia (4-4)
18 Kansas State Wildcats Kansas State is 7-2. They have good wins over Colorado (6-2) and Tulane (7-2). Also defeated West Virginia (4-4)
19 Army West Point Army is 8-0 but lacks quality in their wins.
20 Ole Miss Rebels Ole Miss is 7-2. Best wins are South Carolina (5-3) and Arkansas (5-4)
21 Missouri Tigers Missouri is 6-2. Best wins are Vanderbilt (6-3) and Boston College (4-4)
22 Colorado Buffaloes Colorado is 6-2. Best win is Cincinnati (5-3). Also have a win over Baylor (5-4)
23 Washington State Cougars Washington State is 7-1 but lacks quality wins. Best wins are Fresno State (5-4) and San Jose State (5-3)
24 Louisville Cardinals Louisville is 6-3 but has a nice win over Clemson (6-2). All three losses came to teams in my top 10.
25 Clemson Tigers Clemson takes the final spot in my poll thanks to being 6-2. They lack quality wins. Game vs. Pitt in a few weeks could move them back up. Also considered: Vanderbilt, Iowa, Syracuse, Tulane, and Louisiana.
