nebsA1 Ballot for 2024 Week 10

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Oct. 27, 2024, 3:03 p.m.

Overall Rationale: It's hard to value individual games this year, instead a body of work tells a better story.

Rank Team Reason
Oregon Ducks Continually dominant against the teams they should beat.
Penn State Nittany Lions No super impressive tests so far, but they keep walking away from games with solid wins.
Georgia Bulldogs That loss against Bama holds them back, but can't deny they are an elite team.
BYU Cougars Undefeated with two top 25 wins.
Ohio State Buckeyes Struggled against Nebraska, and didn't look good in the process. Next week versus Penn State will be a test of both teams.
Miami Hurricanes One of the worst best undefeateds if that makes sense. Their offense rolls, but so many games have been a struggle.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish Continuing to roll after the early year let down against NIU.
Texas A&M Aggies This is also a team on a mid season resurgence. Finally the money catches up.
Indiana Hoosiers 12WINDIANA??? This is a legit team, just waiting for their first real test.
Tennessee Volunteers Really unsure how to place Tennessee right now. Going to have to let a few more weeks happen to have a good diagnosis.
Texas Longhorns This team has been on the decline since the Ewers injury. I wanna see them get it together before putting too much stock into them.
Iowa State Cyclones Still untested, but with a relatively easy schedule left, lets see what Matt Campbell can do.
Pittsburgh Panthers Pitt had some shaky wins early this year, but a curb stomp against a solid Syracuse helps.
Clemson Tigers Clemson has been on a roll after week one, really showing out.
Boise State Broncos Ashton Jeanty is leading this team headfirst towards the playoff. Truthfully a really good team only besmirched by a last second loss to number one Oregon...
Alabama Crimson Tide Not sure how to feel about the Crimson Tide, still getting a lot of respect as the highest ranked 2 loss.
Kansas State Wildcats Struggled against state rivals Kansas, this team needs another test to prove themselves.
SMU Mustangs SMU pulled it out despite mistakes against Duke. This team will be trying to make an ACC run.
LSU Tigers Started strong against the Aggies, but completely fell apart. Fraud check.
Army West Point Their SOS has been very week, but maybe they are more legit than Navy was.
Colorado Buffaloes This season has been defined by teams getting it together after a rough start, the Buffs are no different.
Ole Miss Rebels Finally a fourth quarter TD against an SEC team. What even is this Ole Miss team.
Washington State Cougars The worst one loss team in the country. But one loss is one loss.
Arizona State Sun Devils I have to give a 5-2 team some credit.
Memphis Tigers Memphis has been a sneaky good G5 team all year, excited to see if that continues.
