1 Oregon Ducks Are they better than Texas? Could they beat the Longhorns in a neutral-site matchup? Admittedly...I do NOT really think so. But...I suppose that if we are to judge SOLELY on resume...the wins over Boise State and Ohio State, even if just barely, do feel more impressive than the various weaker squads that Texas has been beating up on lately...
2 Texas Longhorns ...that being said, the Ducks are probably just warming up the seat for either Texas or, to a lesser extent, Georgia...we'll find out soon enough...
3 Penn State Nittany Lions Feels kind of wrong to put them so high, ah? Well...I guess consistency (and blemish-free records) is rewarded these days...
4 Ohio State Buckeyes
5 Georgia Bulldogs
6 Miami Hurricanes We STILL don't really know how the ceiling of these Hurricanes...and given how the Virginia Tech and Cal games went, it would not be an overstatement to expect a team to FINALLY deliver them their first loss...eventually...
7 Iowa State Cyclones
8 Alabama Crimson Tide
9 BYU Cougars Overrated? Underrated? Who knows about these Cougars? But, if we are to judge solely on resume (and perhaps on-field product)...it's hard to find a team with a solid report than that of BYU. I guess being in the "lowly" Big 12 (and also maybe also nearly losing to a rough Baylor team but that's a shhh) doesn't do you much favors...sadly...
10 LSU Tigers Probably not all that better than Tennessee, but at least they are carrying out more bigger (and better-aged) wins these days...
11 Tennessee Volunteers

13 Notre Dame Fighting Irish
14 Texas A&M Aggies
15 Boise State Broncos Is Boise #15 worthy? Well...of course, they have a blueblood-style player...but beyond that...who knows? Maybe they need to go full ancap and do their best to hope that them freaking glowie teams don't catch up to them...so all they can do is watch for now...
16 Indiana Hoosiers Probably underrating the Hooisers a fair deal...but alas, I suppose we shall find out more soon...
17 Ole Miss Rebels Bit of a harsh drop? Perhaps...but maybe this is where the Rebs should be...especially after these underwhelming few weeks...

20 Missouri Tigers Probably a bit overrated...but alas, I can't help myself!
21 SMU Mustangs
22 Army West Point Idk...they dispatch their opponents better than Navy?
23 Navy Midshipmen We have to wait and see the way things play out between the grunt schools...
24 Illinois Fighting Illini Ergo...maybe should not be ranked at ALL...but man, can't stop my bias...
25 Michigan Wolverines ...we'll find out whom between these two deserves to stay come Saturday...
