1 Texas Longhorns They didn't play and shouldn't lose their 1st place from last week. The next two weeks should validate them beyond the eye test.
2 Ohio State Buckeyes They did a great job against Iowas defense. This weekend #2 vs #3 should be entertaining.
3 Oregon Ducks Oregon has figured out some of their earlier woes but, I do think they have a very physical competition against Ohio State so a drop may be for seen for next week.
4 Penn State Nittany Lions They should be able to beat USC but they did have a sort of slow start this weekend; It sometimes in the previous weeks has taken them quite some time to get to clicking.
5 Miami Hurricanes Two weeks struggling in a row. I am not sure if they have been "playing down to their opponent" or what but it has to be fixed. They have a very good path to the 12 team championship with what is left of their schedule. It truly is on them to execute there are a few trap games left.
6 Alabama Crimson Tide Huge win hangover? Swaggerbilt was able to lead that game and Bama should probably drop more. This team will drop more depending on next weekend but, they still look like one of the better teams in the country right now even over my current #4 and #5.
7 Georgia Bulldogs They didn't play and didn't get penalized just right now more teams with more wins and don't belong above Bama at the moment off that loss.
8 BYU Cougars Solid team and they have a few trap games and I understand the Utah rivalry but, I would be scared of OSU coming off their bye week after three losses being hungry. This team can make a run and is above Boise due to no losses.
9 Boise State Broncos Jeanty is him. They have a pretty easy rest of their schedule as long as they don't lose.
10 Clemson Tigers One quality loss and they have been clicking ever since. This team should handle Wake without issue.
11 Iowa State Cyclones They have been giving teams hell. They are undefeated and could face a hungry WV team this weekend.
12 Tennessee Volunteers UT dropped because the other teams above have a more quality loss (other than Bama) or they are undefeated and seem to be executing at a high level. I think Arkansas is a really good team and if Pittman wasn't the coach and Taylen Green gets more experience they could do a lot more.
13 Oklahoma Sooners One loss is to the team above them that as upset by Arkansas this week. They are about to be tested in the Red River Rivarly.
14 Kentucky Wildcats Kentuckys defense is insane and I am expecting another low scoring game against Vandy this weekend. Their offense isn't amazing but, it isn't the only side of the ball and they almost caused two upsets in back to back weeks if it weren't for conservative play calling.
15 Kansas State Wildcats Quality loss against BYU. More things need to come out of this team to maintain their spot.
16 Notre Dame Fighting Irish That loss to NIU isn't really looking great now. They are this high for beating Louisville and big upsets would cause them to be moved up on other teams.
17 Ole Miss Rebels The rebs won but, that expensive offense didn't look like it is fully firing. I still think they are trying to pad Dart's stats and were obviously trying to force Juice Wells the ball which was very obvious against SC. The talent is there but, we will see with a night game in Baton Rouge where they have no reason being favored.
18 Texas A&M Aggies A&M rolled Mizzou this weekend. They have a really good defense and Weigman has to keep showing up like he did yesterday
19 Arkansas Razorbacks If Taylen Green didn't make so many young mistakes and Pittman was just a line coach this team could do great things. Very impressive W over UT
20 Vanderbilt Commodores They got Bama; They got the W; And they got the swag. They led what AP had ranked #1 team in the country off a power high win over Georgia. will this be sustained against a very defense heavy Kentucky team?
21 LSU Tigers They are probably about to put together the most gut wrenching performance this weekend against the rebels. They will more than likely win and I have expected it all season especially with a night game in BR. Our biggest hope right now is our Defense if their egos aren't inflated from this past weekend.
22 Indiana Hoosiers They are handling business this year. The second half of their schedule should tell us way more about this team.
23 Illinois Fighting Illini They have been a good team under Altmeyer. They should get an easy W this weekend and did a good job holding Penn State for most of the game.
24 SMU Mustangs That early loss to BYU got this team right. They seem to be performing well as a team and starting to look like some of the preseason hype.
25 Navy Midshipmen Undefeated and beat what was a really good Memphis team.
