Overall Rationale: Each week, I re-rank the teams based on their resumes so far this year. Can look a little funky early on as I weigh good wins very heavily. Will look more and more like everyone else as the season goes on.

1 BYU Cougars BYU is 5-0 with good wins over SMU (5-1) and Kansas State (4-1). They probably aren't the best team but they have a legit resume so far.
2 Oregon Ducks Oregon is 5-0 with good wins over Boise State (4-1) and Oregon State (4-1). Beating Ohio State next week would lock Oregon up at the top of my poll.
3 Penn State Nittany Lions Penn State is 5-0 with a good win over Illinois (4-1) and also a win over West Virginia (3-2)
4 Texas Longhorns Texas is undefeated at 5-0 with a win over Michigan (4-2)
5 Alabama Crimson Tide Alabama drops out of my number 1 spot after their loss to Vanderbilt. They're 4-1 and have a great win over Georgia (4-1) and also a nice win over Wisconsin (3-2). They are my top 1 loss team.
6 Georgia Bulldogs Georgia is 4-1 and I still have them ranked very highly thanks to their dominant win over Clemson (4-1).
7 Miami Hurricanes Miami is 6-0 with wins over Cal (3-2), Florida (3-2) and Virginia Tech (3-3). They've got a good shot to run the table if they can beat Louisville in a couple weeks.
8 Ohio State Buckeyes Ohio State is undefeated at 5-0 but really hasn't played anyone yet. Best win is Iowa (3-2). They have destroyed everyone they've played, though. Next week they play Oregon and could move themselves to the top of my poll with a win.
9 Notre Dame Fighting Irish Notre Dame is 4-1 with a really nice win over Texas A&M (5-1). Also have a win over Louisville (3-2)
10 Texas A&M Aggies Texas A&M is 5-1 with a very good and dominant win over Missouri (4-1). Also defeated Florida (3-2) and Arkansas (4-2)
11 Pittsburgh Panthers Pittsburgh is 5-0. Best win is over West Virginia (3-2). Also beat North Carolina (3-3)
12 Iowa State Cyclones Iowa State is 5-0 but hasn't really played anyone good yet. Best win is over Iowa (3-2)
13 Indiana Hoosiers Indiana is 6-0. Best win is over Maryland (3-2). They have a big game in a couple weeks vs Nebraska.
14 Illinois Fighting Illini Illinois is 4-1 with a loss to Penn State. They have a nice win over Nebraska (5-1)
15 Boise State Broncos Boise State is 4-1. They have a nice win over Washington State (4-1). Lost a close game against Oregon.
16 Washington State Cougars Washington State is 4-1 with a nice win over Texas Tech (5-1). Lost to Boise state.
17 Tennessee Volunteers Tennessee is 4-1 with a nice win over Oklahoma (4-1). Lost to Arkansas.
18 Nebraska Cornhuskers Nebraska is 5-1 with a nice win over Colorado (4-1)
19 Navy Midshipmen Navy is 5-0 with a nice win over Memphis (4-1)
20 Missouri Tigers Missouri is 4-1. Best wins are over Boston College (4-2) and Vanderbilt (3-2)
21 SMU Mustangs SMU is 5-1. They have a close loss to BYU and have a decent win over Louisville (3-2)
22 Kansas State Wildcats Kansas State is 4-1. Best win is over Arizona (3-2). Also defeated Oklahoma State (3-3)
23 Virginia Cavaliers Virginia is 4-1. Best win is over Boston College (4-2)
24 LSU Tigers LSU is 4-1 with a win over South Carolina (3-2)
25 Ole Miss Rebels Ole Miss is 5-1 with a win over South Carolina (3-2). Other teams considered for this spot were Clemson, Oklahoma, Texas Tech, Army, Duke, and Colorado.
