1 Texas Longhorns I stuck to my guns keeping Texas 1 last week... I expected vindication to come from Texas and Alabama losing to Vandy though.
2 Ohio State Buckeyes Still not really been tested, and that'll change this week.
3 Oregon Ducks With Chaos in the Top 10, Oregon can make a true statement this week
4 Penn State Nittany Lions Winning games while teams ahead of you faceplant. Not a bad set up.
5 Miami Hurricanes Didn't want to reward them too much for the past few weeks, but they keep winning.
6 Georgia Bulldogs The Clemson win has really buoyed them despite now having a transitive loss to Vandy.... and besides we can use the Cope of a top 5 opponent on the road in a one score game.
7 Alabama Crimson Tide I shouldn't be that hard on Bama but man what a letdown. And while the first half against Georgia was a thing of beauty there's now been 6 straight worrying quarters. At least for Bama's insane standards.
8 BYU Cougars Top 10 BYU? Sure
9 Iowa State Cyclones Top 10 Iowa State? Sure
10 Clemson Tigers Top 10 Clemson after that opening faceplant against Georgia was not something I was expecting.
11 Tennessee Volunteers I still like the Oklahoma win but man that's a bad loss against Arkansas. At least they get an easier opponent in my Gators to rebound.
12 Ole Miss Rebels Well beating up on the Cocks is a good rebound.
13 LSU Tigers Brian Kelly LSU: lose the neutral site opener. Keep winning as teams in front of you keep losing.
14 Notre Dame Fighting Irish Well one way to make up for a home loss against NIU is for your signature win to keep winning.
15 Utah Utes Do nothing. Still have questions at QB with Rising hurt. Move up due to teams losing. Profit.
16 Kansas State Wildcats Repeat in a sense. Still, I think the BYU game reflects better on BYU.

22 SMU Mustangs Only loss being a close game to a highly ranked BYU team? Yeah that'll be a top 25 resume. Pony Excess is back on the menu folks.
23 Illinois Fighting Illini Illinois just got passed this week by others.
24 Missouri Tigers Geesh.
25 Michigan Wolverines I guess the USC win still buoys them though that's less impressive now. Honestly, BC losing keeps them in the rankings. I know Harbaugh and a lot of others left but I somehow expected better than Blue Iowa.
