Overall Rationale: Only teams that are undefeated or have only lost to teams ranked ahead of them are allowed until not enough such teams remain. So if you have a transitive loss to a team you beat, tough luck, maybe later in the season. Also, no teams with losing records, and I try to go with the best resumes but trying to quantify that is tough.
