jwrtf Ballot for 2024 Week 7

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Oct. 6, 2024, 1:39 a.m.

Overall Rationale: how the fuck are you even supposed to rank this after last week. like what the fuck. here's my best effort I Guess

Rank Team Reason
Texas Longhorns -- (never been a better time to be on a bye, apparently)
Ohio State Buckeyes +3 (congrats to ohio state for Not Losing)
Penn State Nittany Lions +5 (undefeated, steady, deeply unsexy. welcome to a CFP bye)
Oregon Ducks +5 (oregon feels like it could fall apart any any moment, just explode into a billion pieces and that will be that. we aren't there yet!)
Miami Hurricanes +1 (fucking bullshit ass win jesus christ way to get saved a hundred different times by the fucking officials jesus christ whatever congrats on top five)
Alabama Crimson Tide -4 (it feels like they should fall farther but Who Else Should They Even Be Behind)
Georgia Bulldogs -2 (yes they won but they Just lost to Alabama, they were perilously close to losing to Kentucky, and I think they therefore deserve to remain behind Alabama for the time being)
LSU Tigers +4 (fuck sake why did everyone have to lose lsu doesnt belong here brian kelly doesnt deserve this)
Clemson Tigers +5 (i still do not believe in clemson. i do not. but who else should go here. realistically.)
Tennessee Volunteers -7 (in a regular week they would've fallen further but this is no regular week)
Iowa State Cyclones +7 (plus SEVEN???? we'll get you in that banner soon bb)
BYU Cougars +7 (sike lsu you thought you won the bye week but you were dead fuckin wrong)
Ole Miss Rebels -- (congrats on not biffing, your reward is to simply hang out)
Utah Utes +1 (we're in the like "im pretty sure all these teams are mid but everyone else is even midder so" area of the poll)
Oklahoma Sooners +1 (texas-oklahoma is going to kill multiple citizens of dallas next weekend i just know it)
Notre Dame Fighting Irish +1 (I DO NOT BELIEVE IN NOTRE DAME WHY CANT ANYONE ELSE BE BETTER, FUCK)
Kansas State Wildcats +3 (if byu is actually amazing, kansas state is actually decent. if byu is secretly dogshit ,, i mean what is there to even do)
Texas A&M Aggies NEW (i also dont believe in a&m! but i also think there's a good chance they beat every team in the country who is not ranked 1-17 here so like! here they go!)
Missouri Tigers -12 (mizzou was kept afloat by an undefeated record but shaky wins against a now-unranked BC and an admittedly scrappy but-still-lost-to-Georgia-State Vanderbilt and then getting utterly embarrassed by A&M ,, it's time for the Tigers to hang out in the 11-20 range for awhile while they think about who they want to be as a team)
Indiana Hoosiers +1 (indiana can't stop scoring One Billion Points but they also aint played nobody pawwwwwl. i would be genuinely surprised if they got through the Nebraska then Washington then at Michigan State series without at least one loss before having to then take michigan and then ohio st back to back)
Illinois Fighting Illini +1 (solid bye week illinois, hope ur learning a lot about urselves)
SMU Mustangs NEW (smu's single loss on the season was a close one to an apparently legit byu team. they've put in good work every week apart from that one and i think they deserve to be a little ranked)
Michigan Wolverines -12 (michigan, you're in timeout until you figure out if you want to be a good football team or not. you and usc can play together in the 20s)
Nebraska Cornhuskers -- (one of only two teams to see no movement this week and the other one was my #1. congrats on not taking an L this week nebraska. you get no more than that)
USC Trojans -14 (quite frankly they are still ranked so that if they beat penn state next week i don't have to definitely guaranteed bump someone out of the top 25.) Dropped: #23 Louisville, #25 Boston College Others "Receiving Votes": 26 Pitt, 27 Boise State 28, Army/Navy (it's a tie i guess), 30 Louisville, 31 Colorado, 32 Arizona State, 33 Rutgers, 34 Washington State, 35 Texas Tech No Longer Monitoring: UCF, Oklahoma State, Arizona, Cal
