coletheredditer Ballot for 2024 Week 7

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Oct. 6, 2024, 11:52 a.m.

Overall Rationale: This poll sucked more than last week, I Can't believe who I put at 7. EVERY OTHER TEAM CONSIDERED, IN ORDER: Nebraska, Arizona, Navy, Army, Washington, Illinois, SMU, Liberty, Syracuse, Tulane, and Arkansas

Rank Team Reason
Texas Longhorns Thank GOD for #1 and #2 allowing for some consistency, Texas' bye week came at the perfect time, they avoided the chaos of the week and remain at #1 for me
Ohio State Buckeyes A shaky first half can be looked past when the second half looked that much better, Oregon will give us a good game
Oregon Ducks Oregon fell up after beating Michigan State, they probably aren't the 3rd best team in the country, but everyone around them lost, so here they are
Penn State Nittany Lions Same as Oregon, they didn't look great against UCLA, but Bama, Tennessee, and Mizzou all lost so here they are.
Miami Hurricanes Incredible how Alabama lost to Vandy for the first time time in 40 years, and that wasn’t the most embarrassing loss of the day
Georgia Bulldogs So very lucky everyone else lost and people wont see how close that game was
Iowa State Cyclones I Can't Believe It. I keep thinking to myself "This is wrong, X team should be above them" and then I remember they lost to an unranked opponent, something the Cyclones haven't done, I really hope you can keep it up!
BYU Cougars That Kansas State win is doing heavy lifting to this ranking, very good football team, might fall back to earth, like every other top 10 team at some point.
Clemson Tigers Almost to the swath of teams that lost, they fell hard here, I blame them for losing, personally.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish Another ranking I don't like, but they had their bye and rose like 6 spots because of it (I don't look at my previous polls, to avoid inertia)
Ole Miss Rebels Looked much better this week, I then realize the SEC went from 5 top 6 teams to 3 top 10 teams in like 2 weeks.
Indiana Hoosiers Hell yeah
Tennessee Volunteers Loss wasn't as embarrassing as some of the other ones, Tennessee was forced to play real opponents instead of Kent State and this is what happened
Alabama Crimson Tide HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Hope this was insightful!
LSU Tigers They don't deserve to be this high, but again I can't reasonably drop them until they lose, and they didn't lose, so they are the 15th best team in the country for the time being.
Boise State Broncos Jeanty is good at football
Texas A&M Aggies Ok, fine I'll rank the Aggies, ND loss isn't looking terrible and that SEC schedule isn't overly difficult
Missouri Tigers So is Boston College Bad or what? Please win UMass it would be so funny
Pittsburgh Panthers Unlike Army, Navy, and Liberty, Pitt has played opponents with pulses, so they get ranked.
Oklahoma Sooners Good time for a bye
Kansas State Wildcats Good bye timing
Utah Utes How many ways can I say "They had their bye week this week" without repeating myself?
Michigan Wolverines Thanks other UW!
USC Trojans Minnesota isn't good, so down you fall!
Vanderbilt Commodores If Cal didn’t choke a 25 point victory, at home, with college game day hosting, you wouldn’t be here, good job anyway, Dores!
