Overall Rationale: weighted composite rankings using computer BCS polls (A&H, BIL, Colley, MAS, SAG, Wolfe) the ESPN FPI, and some auxiliary computer polls selected on merit (MOR, DWI, BWE, DII, DOK, HOW, OSC, PGH, PIR). Many of these polls are not available until later in the season. Polls (especially AUX polls used are subject to change during the first few weeks of the season based on their availability when this poll is due; will update my methodology when/if poll changes. Reasons: weighted average; Poll group with highest rating (BCS/FPI/AUX) Note: There is a top 5 and then everyone else. The top 10 is a mess right now. the polls really like certain teams, I guess because with a 12 team playoff their ceiling is very high. Its been a fairly chaotic year so far with some serious upsets, but still a lot of football left to be played against big teams.
