Hastronaut Ballot for 2024 Week 6

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Sept. 29, 2024, 1:19 p.m.

Overall Rationale: I try to rank based mostly off performance, with light weighting put into team talent/preseason expectations. As the season goes on, preseason expectations for a team will be considered less and less. I do not take into account injuries.

Rank Team Reason
Alabama Crimson Tide Alabama gets a big win over Georgia giving them the best win out of the top 3. This leap frogs them to #1. Not much separation between 1-3.
Texas Longhorns
Ohio State Buckeyes
Tennessee Volunteers Teams 4-6 are tier 2. All undefeated and have looked solid most of the season.
Penn State Nittany Lions
Oregon Ducks
Georgia Bulldogs Georgia only falls to 7 with a close loss @ Bama
Miami Hurricanes Miami escapes by narrow margins, and drops accordingly
Missouri Tigers
Iowa State Cyclones Iowa state continues to get solid wins, and moves ahead
Clemson Tigers Clemson has looked like one of the best teams since their first game, and moves ahead accordingly
Michigan Wolverines 12-14 stay in this order because of head to head. Michigan and USC escaping with victories. LSU wins big but over a low level team
USC Trojans
LSU Tigers
Oklahoma Sooners OU barely escapes @ Auburn
Ole Miss Rebels Ole Miss drops far for a home loss to unranked UK
Utah Utes Utah drops pretty far for the loss to Arizona
BYU Cougars
Pittsburgh Panthers
Notre Dame Fighting Irish ND get a big win against Louisville and jump back into the top 25
Boise State Broncos Boise state with the 1 close loss to Oregon and has looked dominant otherwise earns them a spot
UNLV Rebels UNLV with dominant wins gets them a spot
Illinois Fighting Illini Illinois drops for the 2 score loss to PSU
Nebraska Cornhuskers Nebraska earns a solid win, but their loss to Illinois now looks worse
Indiana Hoosiers Undefeated IU earn a spot. Rutgers, K state, Colorado, TAMU, Louisville, Duke, are all just outside the top 25
