1 Georgia Bulldogs Bye week
2 Texas Longhorns Arch was a *little* more human last night but the team is still pretty incredible. Ewers will be back.
3 Tennessee Volunteers They can win with defense or offense now. Watch out.
4 Ohio State Buckeyes I think they’re probably the 1st or 2nd best team, tbh, but they don’t have a big win yet.
5 Alabama Crimson Tide Still have questions but they’re looking more and more like the have the answers on offense. What about the defense?
6 Ole Miss Rebels Coming back down to earth ever so slightly but it’s not like they need their best right now. Also, their 7/10 still resulted in 52 points.
7 Miami Hurricanes Shook off a shaky start. Not sure if the shakiness means anything but I liked the fight they showed in the second half.
8 Penn State Nittany Lions Could this be their year to punch through? Hard to glean too much from beating up on Kent State, but at least they did!
9 Oregon Ducks Bye week.
10 Utah Utes Woof. Never trust Kyle Whittingham’s injury reports. Still got it done by the skin of their teeth. Ugly game. W.
11 Louisville Cardinals I think this team might be pretty good. Finally got their coach and may be taking the next step.
12 Missouri Tigers Ouch. I guess they get credit for surviving.
13 Illinois Fighting Illini Great win. I didn’t think they’d keep it within a touchdown of Nebraska. Instead, they got it done. Very impressed.
14 Iowa State Cyclones Not a lot to take away from this one.
15 Clemson Tigers Game wasn’t even as close as it looked, and it didn’t look very close. They could’ve won by 80. Seriously. Rumors of their demise may be exaggerated.
16 BYU Cougars Wow. Didn’t expect that. The ugliest way to blow out a team I think.
17 Boise State Broncos FCS win but I think this is a good team
18 Michigan Wolverines Didn’t think they’d win, tbh. Didn’t think their offense could hang. But luckily for them, the defensive line, Will Johnson (is he ok?), and Mullings (good grief, they’ve got another stud) kept them in it.
19 USC Trojans Horrible game management at the end by Riley. They lost as much as Michigan won.
20 LSU Tigers Is there a team with as much variance week to week—and even quarter to quarter—than LSU? When the offense goes, it looks lethal. Why doesn’t it always go? What’s the deal with the defense? So confusing.
21 UNLV Rebels Bye week
22 Indiana Hoosiers They only played Charlotte but this team keeps erasing people.
23 UCF Knights Bye week
24 Nebraska Cornhuskers Still think this is a good team. Watch out as Raiola continues to grow—Nebraska got a dude. They may have won if they’d had a two score lead toward the end, but they are cursed in one-score games.
25 Notre Dame Fighting Irish Can’t believe they only scored 28. Idk about the offense but the defense is good. I just don’t get them.
