Overall Rationale: weighted composite rankings using computer BCS polls (A&H, BIL, Colley, MAS, SAG, Wolfe) the ESPN FPI, and some auxiliary computer polls selected on merit (MOR, DWI, BWE, DII, DOK, HOW, OSC, PGH, PIR). Many of these polls are not available until later in the season. Polls (especially AUX polls used are subject to change during the first few weeks of the season based on their availability when this poll is due; will update my methodology when/if poll changes. NOTE: Alabama and Texas are almost tied at 2.4 weighted average. I had to redo the math and push the decimal three more places to find who was mathematically ahead. And it is Alabama, by a hair. My poll has the BCS carry 45% and UGA is 1, Alabama 2, and Texas 3. So I think that is what is carrying it. As well as explaining why UGA is #1. Additionally there is a big drop off in ranking after #24. Which is why Washington is still ranked. They are essentially the best of the un-ranked.
