1 Michigan Wolverines Undisputed top team according to metrics I use. Not considering sign stealing scandal.
2 Ohio State Buckeyes Best defense. Shaky offense with room to grow.
3 Oregon Ducks I’m normally a Debbie downer on my Ducks. But this is potentially the best team they’ve ever fielded. Even though they lost at UW, still played well enough to win but for a coin flip.
4 Georgia Bulldogs Starting to round into shape.
5 Florida State Seminoles Great resume and evenly balanced. Just not overpowering on either side of the ball.
6 Washington Huskies Surprisingly poor play the past few weeks. Still top tier despite recent struggles. A good coach should help remedy this in short order, which they have.
7 Oklahoma Sooners On fraud watch. Turnovers propping them up, which is not reliable.
8 Texas Longhorns If they can survive KState, will move up.
9 Alabama Crimson Tide Just hanging around…
10 Ole Miss Rebels Fun offense. Not much trust in the defense.
11 Penn State Nittany Lions Struggled in their only game against top competition. Still good, but seemingly inflated rank.
12 LSU Tigers Amazing offense. Daniels for Heisman. Defense is doo doo butt.
13 Notre Dame Fighting Irish How did they get creamed by Louisville?
14 Kansas State Wildcats Hottest team in the country running into the top team in conference at the right time.
15 Missouri Tigers *shrug*
16 Air Force Falcons USA
17 Oregon State Beavers Desert voodoo comes for everyone. Still a great team.
18 UCLA Bruins Incredible Chip Kelly defense and weak offense, just as we all predicted.
19 Utah Utes Teams have bad games. Still think the defense is strong.
20 Tennessee Volunteers Similar to FSU, relatively strong on either side of the ball. Just nothing that jumps off the stat sheet.
21 Tulane Green Wave Only loss to strong Ole Miss, but they’re on serious fraud watch.
22 USC Trojans How does Alex Grinch still have a job?
23 Oklahoma State Cowboys Weird early season losses, but rounding into form at the right time.
24 Louisville Cardinals Propped up by ND win, but has favorable schedule rest of season.
25 James Madison Dukes Weak president - strong football
