Rank | Team | Reason |
---|---|---|
| Florida State Seminoles | Very dominant team, better wins then Georgia or Michigan and more explosive than Ohio St. |
| Ohio State Buckeyes | Great team with two signature wins but I can't trust this team in a shootout against a team like Florida St. |
| Georgia Bulldogs | Finally a dominant win, but this team just doesn't look as impressive with a weaker schedule and slow starts compared to OSU or FSU. |
| Washington Huskies | If their defense can improve a bit, what I think is the best offense in the country could lead them to the playoffs but the schedule only gets tougher. |
| Michigan Wolverines | I would put them number 1 but I don't know how serious the sign-stealing scandal is and put that with a terrible SOS I'm not putting them higher than Washington. |
| Oregon Ducks | They shred great teams, easily the best 1 loss team in the country. |
| Alabama Crimson Tide | Alabama's bounced back and has a top 10 defense. I trust this team more than Oklahoma or Texas right now. |
| Oklahoma Sooners | For the first time since 07 a loss to Kansas isn't season ending, and despite the embarrassment they still have that massive win in the red river rivalry. |
| Texas Longhorns | Texas was one of the hardest teams to rank because I don't know how good they are. They crushed BYU and have one of the best wins in the country, but I need to see what they do against K-state and Iowa St to see how good they are. |
| Penn State Nittany Lions | Penn St. is the prefect bridge team between contenders (Texas, Washington Georgia and more) and really good team that have no shot at the playoffs (Ole Miss, Missouri and Louisville) as PSU had a shaky game hosting Indiana but is still a dominant team that's a step down from OSU and Michigan. |
| Ole Miss Rebels | Ole Miss finally has a balanced and very good team but like PSU is below the heavyweights in it's conference. |
| Missouri Tigers | Great Job Mizzou! Prove your season isn't a fluke by rebounding after the LSU loss with 2 big wins. Mizzou is a really good team and has a chance to prove it with Georgia and Tennessee next up on the schedule. |
| Notre Dame Fighting Irish | Notre Dame is a top 10 caliber team but that Louisville loss confuses me and keeps them out of the top 10. |
| LSU Tigers | LSU has an elite offense and a potential Heisman winner at QB. If they can play a complete game on defense they could prove to be an SEC contender and a thorn in Georgia and Bama's side. |
| Air Force Falcons | Air Force is quietly having it's best season this century with a elite defense and productive offense. Being undefeated with the best rushing and worst passing offense shows how service academies can thrive and with JMU ineligible Air Force is aiming for a NY6 bowl game. |
| James Madison Dukes | Even with a close and scary win over ODU, this team has the best run defense in the country and a good enough offense to win games. LET THEM PLAY IN A BOWL GAME! THE NCAA ARE COWARDS! |
| Louisville Cardinals | Might be my favorite surprise team this season, and the dominant win over Duke means I can't ignore them anymore as they are in serious ACC contention. |
| Tulane Green Wave | Might be the best G5 team in the country and might be undefeated if Michael Pratt played Ole Miss |
| Utah Utes | Rough loss but Oregon is destroying everyone and would be near the top 10 with Cam Rising |
| Kansas Jayhawks | Kansas has had their signature moment with their backup QB as they are a dangerous team that deserves a lot of respect. |
| Tennessee Volunteers | A good team but not really an SEC contender and still has to play Mizzou and Georgia |
| Liberty Flames | By far the worst undefeated team, as their strength of schedule is pitiful. But I can't not rank an 8-0 team. |
| UCLA Bruins | Solid win against Colorado but this team does not compare with some of its Pac-2 opponents. |
| Oklahoma State Cowboys | I did not expect OK st. to be here after the USA game and starting out 2-2, but here we are with 6-2 OK st. with big wins over both Kansas schools heading into Bedlam. |
| Rutgers Scarlet Knights | Even if it's a mirage I wanted to rank Rutgers because a 6-2 start in the BIG 10 is impressive no matter what and they deserve a spot before OSU and PSU take it away from them. |
