Overall Rationale: My computer ballot attempts to predict how the CFP committee will make their selections. It starts as a strict power ranking and over the course of the season, it weights resume more heavily. Results have been a bit wonky this year because in the past the top rank teams that blow everyone out tend to have tougher schedules. Unfortunately for Georgia and Michigan my model believes their schedule has been so poor this year that they are not getting the bump that public perception gives them. I know that for the first round of CFP rankings that this will miss the mark this week but I have faith that it will work itself out. This is my first time this year sharing it through Reddit, as I normally keep it to myself, but I've run this for the last several seasons and only in 2021 did my model have a different top 4 than what the committee selected. I expect once Michigan gets a signature win under its belt they will catapult up into the top 4.
