DarthYoda2594 Ballot for 2023 Week 10

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Oct. 29, 2023, 9:39 a.m.

Overall Rationale: Still want to rank about 30 teams, but filling out the poll was significantly easier than the last couple weeks. Very wary of Washington but can't justify dropping them below a team they beat - I'm trying not to punish teams for low quality of recent wins now that there is enough data on a full resume. Big change is the 2nd tier of the big 12 - Kansas's win puts them back in the rankings, which improves the resume of Oklahoma State, which stacks into Kansas State, etc. All those teams I predict I'll have significantly higher than the AP. Dropped out: North Carolina (16 - Back to back will always be punished exponentially and that's a particularly bad loss), Duke (20 - Just got too thoroughly smashed. All 3 losses are fine but it is 3 losses and the Clemson win is basically irrelevant now), Toledo (25 - Attrition). New this week: Louisville (16 - Okay I'll excuse the pitt game now, great win), Kansas (19), Oklahoma State (20 - 4 in a row with 2 against teams I have ranked; this is not the same team from the South Alabama game). Next few out, in order: Toledo, UNC, USC, Miami, Fresno State, Liberty, Memphis, Iowa, Rutgers, SMU, Ohio, Arizona, Iowa State, Duke
