Dawg-Bite Ballot for 2022 Week 15 & Bowls

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Dec. 5, 2022, 3:05 p.m.

Overall Rationale: Resume, Quality wins, who u lost to, eye test, record, head 2 head matters

Rank Team Reason
Georgia Bulldogs
Michigan Wolverines
TCU Horned Frogs Ohio State didn’t have to play this past week so TCU losing doesn’t get punished. Plus TCU has still beaten every team they’ve played this year.
Ohio State Buckeyes
Tennessee Volunteers Head 2 head over Alabama
Alabama Crimson Tide
Clemson Tigers Clemson has a better record than Penn State now and has a conference championship plus a needed QB change to give me confidence in them moving up.
Penn State Nittany Lions I see no reason to punish Penn State for playing their schedule. They might not have quality wins but it’s clear they are a quality team both from eye test and their close result against a playoff team in Ohio State. Plus they have a better record than the conference champs behind them.
Tulane Green Wave Tulane has head 2 head over Kansas State and a conference championship. They also avenged their 2nd loss to UCF.
Kansas State Wildcats Kansas State was ranked in front of Utah in my rankings last week, and I see no reason to not keep it the same. They have the same record, both have conference Championships, and K State played and beat the better team this past weekend.
Utah Utes
USC Trojans USC fell all the way to 12 due to just how awful they looked against Utah. They might be 11-2 but it’s very clear they were a fraudulent team after this past weekend.
Washington Huskies Huskies are 10-2 but move back because USC has a better record and Utah showed they were the best team in the PAC 12.
Florida State Seminoles
LSU Tigers LSU dropped 3 spots but didn’t drop out the top 15 because they still played a game this past weekend and other teams can’t say that. Plus their offense showed out against the best defense in the country.
Oregon State Beavers
Oregon Ducks
UCLA Bruins
Notre Dame Fighting Irish
South Carolina Gamecocks
Texas Longhorns
Mississippi State Bulldogs
Ole Miss Rebels
Troy Trojans Conference champs and dominated a 9-2 team in the Sun Belt Championship. Played Ole Miss tough earlier in the year and their 2nd loss was a last second Hail Mary.
UTSA Roadrunners UTSA were C-USA champs but only beat a 7-5 team. They got beat pretty good by Texas and their 2nd loss was in OT to a decent Houston team. Next 5: NC State: two teams ahead played this past weekend and won championships North Carolina: Played during champ weekend, and despite not wanting to punish em the two teams ahead won their games and NC State beat em straight up South Alabama UCF Cincinnati
