6 Penn State Nittany Lions 10-2, B1G East 3rd Place, basically like Alabama except did not place close games to teams like Texas A&M and Texas
7 Alabama Crimson Tide 10-2, SEC West Runners-Up, good losses but no good wins
8 Kansas State Wildcats 10-3, B12 Champs, probably the 2nd best win in the country
9 Washington Huskies 10-2, PAC-12 3rd Place, under the radar and would probably beat Utah
10 Clemson Tigers 11-2, ACC Champs, smashed UNC but at the same time UNC is not that good
11 Utah Utes 10-3, P12 Champs, beat USC convincingly because they only had one really good win instead of their typical two
12 USC Trojans 11-2, P12 Runners-Up, got violated by Utah (good luck in the B1G)
13 Florida State Seminoles 9-3, ACC Atlantic Runners-Up, unfortunate streak in the middle of the season but good otherwise
14 Tulane Green Wave 11-2, AAC Champs, got revenge on a weak UCF team and going to a NY6 bowl
15 Oregon State Beavers 9-3, P12 5th Place, beat Oregon
16 Oregon Ducks 9-3, P12 4th Place, lost to Oregon State
17 LSU Tigers 9-4, SEC Runners-Up, score of the SECCG is closer than the game was
18 South Carolina Gamecocks 8-4, SEC East 3rd Place, two great wins but also losses to Missouri, Florida, and Arkansas (who are all 6-6)
19 UCLA Bruins 9-3, P12 6th Place, ran out of gas late in the season against teams like Arizona and Cal
20 Troy Trojans 11-2, SBC Champs, beat an overrated Coastal Carolina convincingly (we were robbed of a Troy vs. JMU matchup)
21 Texas Longhorns 8-4, B12 Third Place, good win over K-State and oh-so-close against Alabama, but also lost to Oklahoma State and Texas Tech
22 Notre Dame Fighting Irish 8-4, #1 Independent, crushed Clemson but also lost to Stanford and Marshall; nobody knows how good they really are
23 UTSA Roadrunners 11-2, C-USA Champs, leagues above the rest of the C-USA in terms of their ability to compete at a high level
24 Mississippi State Bulldogs 8-4, SEC West 3rd Place, decent team but nothing to write home about
25 NC State Wolfpack 8-4, ACC Atlantic 5th Place, here by default; some mediocre losses and a bad loss to Boston College but a solid win over FSU
