Overall Rationale: Wins and losses matter. If you have the same record and beat a team head-to-head, you must be ahead of them. I debated a few spots but ended up not doing anything too controversial I don't think. I've been lower on Ole Miss all year and that beatdown from Arkansas was more than enough to drop them out. Florida State is playing like a top 10 team but the overall resume must be taken into account, even if I think they'd win 2 out of 3 of their losses if they played right now. Alabama feels high at #10 because I frankly don't think they're all that good but that awful loss to Arizona State is keeping Washington down below. I wasn't sold on USC at all and had them all the way down at #14 last week. I was waiting for them to beat any decent team other than Oregon State by 3, and they finally delivered. As promised, they jump up a whole lot for that win. I'm not totally convinced, but at this point you have to be rewarded for having only 1 loss. Penn State is definitely a top 10 team and might be a top 5 team honestly. They only lost to Michigan and Ohio State, and killed almost everyone else. I watched all of Maryland vs Penn State. They DOMINATED them from start to finish, and look at what Maryland did to Ohio State the week after. LSU drops down because that loss to Tennessee looks far, far worse now. I think Coastal Carolina should have a chance at a NY6 Bowl, especially if they go 11-1. The AAC Champ could have 3 losses and I'm not even convinced the committee wouldn't put them ahead.
