Gnarlybro365 Ballot for 2022 Week 13

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Nov. 20, 2022, 4:20 p.m.

Overall Rationale: Overall record, Strength of schedule, Bad losses, H2H are pretty important if the teams are closely ranked

Rank Team Reason
Georgia Bulldogs Undefeated with strong wins over Oregon, Tennessee, and Bama. Really scary team overall.
Michigan Wolverines Personally, I think Michigan has shown more dominance compared Ohio State, although last week's game was maybe a little too close for comfort, they have remained undefeated.
Ohio State Buckeyes While undefeated, they haven't played as dominate as Michigan has in tougher games. When Ohio State has played stronger teams this season (i.e. Notre Dame, Penn State) they often falter before picking themselves up and winning.
TCU Horned Frogs Last undefeated team in the FBS. Although TCU has had several close calls, they still have yet to lose. In a conference with some decent teams, I think it's fair to keep them at fourth.
USC Trojans 1 loss with wins over UCLA, Oregon State, and... that's about it. USC has had a few tough games to some P5 opponents and only lost once to a strong Utah team. Even though a few of their wins are probably closer than they should be, they have still gone .909.
LSU Tigers After losses to Tennessee and FSU early in the season, LSU has bounced back nicely with some key victories over Bama and Ole Miss. Probably the best 2 loss team atm.
Clemson Tigers While only having 1 loss, Clemson sure hasn't played like it. Too many close games and not enough strong wins hurts the placement of this team. If Clemson does win out, I can see a scenario with them in the playoffs.
Alabama Crimson Tide Nothing much here, 2 close losses is still 2 losses.
Oregon Ducks After a tight win vs Utah last week, the Ducks have their eyes set on a Championship. Perhaps there's still a shot they make it to playoffs. It's slim but it exists.
Penn State Nittany Lions Penn State has played good football all season. Unfortunately, tOSU and Michigan were also in their schedule.
Tennessee Volunteers Most points Tennesse has ever conceded since some time in the 1800's apparently? Nonetheless, letting an unranked South Carolina put up 63 points is definitely going to hurt and CFP chances you had left.
Washington Huskies Close victory at Autzen and a strong follow through vs Colorado, the Huskies were close to earning themselves a NY6 bid had it not been for their losses.
Utah Utes Utah had several opportunities to beat Oregon but just couldn't capitalize. Nonetheless, they remain USC's sole loss.
Kansas State Wildcats Aside from a few losses, K State is playing great football and I'd imagine everyone in the Big 12 does not look forward to playing K State in the future.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish Thanks to a win against Clemson, Notre Dame is flying high despite their 3 - loss record
UCLA Bruins Tough loss to USC.
Coastal Carolina Chanticleers Great record with a tough loss to Old Dominion
Florida State Seminoles Bounced back after a rough start
Oregon State Beavers Jumped a few spots thanks to some key losses
North Carolina Tar Heels Loss to an unranked GT is no bueno
Tulane Green Wave Up there with Coastal in contention for best G5 team
Ole Miss Rebels Awful loss against Arkansas
Cincinnati Bearcats Another strong G5 team
South Carolina Gamecocks Amazing game against Tennessee, enough to be the best 4 loss team in my opinion
Boise State Broncos A bit of a sleeper pick, Boise had rough start to their season and have turned it around since then. After their win this last week, they have clenched a MWC against Fresno
