PrimalCookie Ballot for 2022 Week 13

Ballot Type: Computer

Submitted: Nov. 20, 2022, 10:11 a.m.

Overall Rationale: Using Equivalent Wins, one of our computer metrics in r/FakeCollegeFootball. It's purely resume based, with no preseason expectations (all 131 teams start equal with each other) built in. No FCS games are counted - in the (very rare) occasion that a team with an FCS loss is getting close to the top 25, I'll manually adjust to push them back down.

Rank Team Reason
Georgia Bulldogs 5.705
TCU Horned Frogs 5.414
Ohio State Buckeyes 5.117
Michigan Wolverines 4.640
Clemson Tigers 4.299
Tennessee Volunteers 3.842 // NOTE: The computer had 6 Alabama 7 LSU 8 Tennessee and that’s objectively stupid so I’ve swapped them around since their scores are pretty close anyway
LSU Tigers 3.882
Alabama Crimson Tide 4.043
USC Trojans 3.779
Penn State Nittany Lions 3.658
Oregon Ducks 3.561
Kansas State Wildcats 2.871
Utah Utes 2.859
Florida State Seminoles 2.774
Troy Trojans 2.773 // I still don’t understand why EQW is so in love with Troy, and I’ve been trying to figure out for a few weeks now. They only have 2 top half wins, 27 South Alabama and 39 Marshall. App State is a Q3 loss. My best guess is because they only have 1 sub 100 win, Texas State, so they’re not being dragged down as much from that aspect as you’d expect a G5 team to? Idk this is my first year adapting this for real football and not FCFB and if it starts giving me stuff like this again next year I might have to change things up.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish 2.676
Coastal Carolina Chanticleers 2.632
UCLA Bruins 2.617
North Carolina Tar Heels 2.572
Ole Miss Rebels 2.519
Washington Huskies 2.466
Texas Longhorns 2.354
Tulane Green Wave 3.343
Oregon State Beavers 3.294
UTSA Roadrunners 2.231 // Next 5: UCF, South Alabama, Mississippi State, Cincinnati, Wake Forest
