DarthYoda2594 Ballot for 2022 Week 13

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Nov. 20, 2022, 7:15 a.m.

Overall Rationale: General ranking thought process is a combination of considering efficiency metrics and quality of resume (recency weighted more heavily). Slight bonus added for G5 at the bottom to recognize them, where appropriate. Dropped from last week: UCF (20), Minnesota (21), Oklahoma State (24), pretty self-explanatory on all. New this week: Texas (23), Coastal (24), South Carolina (25) Next few out, in order: Troy, UTSA, South Alabama, Mississippi State, Louisville, Washington State

Rank Team Reason
Georgia Bulldogs
Michigan Wolverines
Ohio State Buckeyes
TCU Horned Frogs No change to top 4. Everyone struggled in one way or another so it wouldn't be fair to reshuffle at all.
USC Trojans
LSU Tigers
Clemson Tigers Pretty convincing performance, even against a bad Miami team. I still hate watching this team play, but I can no longer justify having a bunch of 2-loss teams above them.
Alabama Crimson Tide
Penn State Nittany Lions
Oregon Ducks
Tennessee Volunteers Hooker-independent ranking
Kansas State Wildcats
Washington Huskies
Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Utah Utes
Florida State Seminoles
Tulane Green Wave
North Carolina Tar Heels I kind of had them underrated before and there's kind of a gulf right around this ranking, so they're not dropping further, but -4 doesn't really reflect how bad that loss was.
Ole Miss Rebels
UCLA Bruins
Oregon State Beavers
Cincinnati Bearcats
Texas Longhorns
Coastal Carolina Chanticleers
South Carolina Gamecocks This is more of a 1-week reward - If the offense looked like that in any of their flat games (Florida, Georgia), they'd be talked about with Texas among the kind-of unlucky losers
