Overall Rationale: THIS IS BEDLAM!Uh, ahem. Anyway. The New Big 12 has the No. 2 and No. 3 teams, suck it OU and UT! Ohio State's damnable elite statistics keep them ahead of more realistic contenders ND and Bama, but the playoff is most likely down to the five P5 teams without multiple losses, plus undefeated Cincinnati. Texas A&M falls out of the rankings to be replaced by NC State, and the Big 12 (average rating: 60.6) barely eases ahead of the Big Ten (60.6) and SEC (60.4) as the top conference.Congratulations are due to Race to the Bottom champion FIU, which edged out UMass, UConn, New Mexico State, and Akron in a tough race. Their last FBS win is still Miami, somehow. Also, shoutout to Old Dominion, which was 1-6 and ranked 120th in Week 7 without an FBS win since 2018. By some act of God, they are BOWL ELIGIBLE. (And still only 93rd, but that's irrelevant.)Here's to the Meep Meeps almost going undefeated (rip), to OU going 5-7 in the SEC, and to one of Pitt and Wake Forest being guaranteed a conference title and a spot in the New Year's Six. What a season.
