Hey_Its_Roomie Ballot for 2020 Week 十

Ballot Type: Hybrid

Submitted: Nov. 9, 2020, 11:47 a.m.

Overall Rationale: Clemson-Notre Dame and Florida-Georgia created quite the dynamic shift in the polls. Alongside more minor upstarts such as the growing collapse of the B1G in a state of absolute mediocrity. Note: 1-win teams will not be ranked due to it being too little of information to accurately compare to the rest of the league. These teams will be placed in the Top 44 though, versus the chance of posting teams <.500 in there as a boost to weak schedules. Keep in mind this ranking is not adjusted from the previous week, rather re-assessed each week. The impact on this is that teams could radically shift based not only if they won or loss, but what the entire league did and how that shapes previous wins or losses.

Rank Team Reason
Alabama Crimson Tide Notre Dame's win was good, but at the cost of being an OT win, it does not quite trump the value of Bama.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Clemson Tigers
Ohio State Buckeyes So why does Ohio State drop? Still only at 3-0, but also the strength of schedule continues to be awful with Rutgers win against MSU being the only one of the past 3 weeks, while other schedules improve.
BYU Cougars BYU's win against Boise makes noise, but only enough to leap Cinci.
Cincinnati Bearcats
Miami Hurricanes
Texas A&M Aggies
Marshall Thundering Herd
Florida Gators
Northwestern Wildcats You could argue it's an anomaly of the season, and you'd be right, but at 3-0, NU deserves recognition closer to Ohio State by-resume than others.
Oklahoma State Cowboys
Coastal Carolina Chanticleers
Georgia Bulldogs Georgia falters, and brings question to their competence, but we've only seen they are distinctively not a top ten, but not necessarily worse than that at the moment.
Liberty Flames Liberty makes their first real win of the year throwing them up quite a bit as a team that's capable of strong FBS performances.
SMU Mustangs
Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns
North Carolina Tar Heels
Purdue Boilermakers
Appalachian State Mountaineers
Indiana Hoosiers Indiana pops in, but an OT win over PSU, and the weak SoS to start does not do well to improve their placement much.
Tulsa Golden Hurricane
Memphis Tigers
FAU Owls
San José State Spartans
