Rank | Team | Reason |
---|---|---|
| Alabama Crimson Tide | They move up because Clemson lost. Their offense is on fire right now.  |
| Clemson Tigers | Yes, I still have them above ND, and ranked #2 in the country. Look they went to double OT against ND without Trevor Lawrence who will be the #1 pick in the draft this year. So I look at this game more as a tie, with the difference being Clemson doesn't have their superstar QB, which gives Tie to Clemson as far as future potential is concerned. Now Their backup played really well, which is really what made this decision hard to move them down or not. But would Trevor Lawrence have won Clemson this game? I believe so. Either way, they will play ND in the ACCCG, so the final ranking between these two will be decided then.  |
| Notre Dame Fighting Irish | Hey they got the win. And they shut ETN down, which is very impressive. ND is basically guaranteed to get a rematch against Clemson in the ACCCG now. They don't play Miami, and the only game they could possibly lose is to UNC who lost to FSU and Louisville.  |
| Ohio State Buckeyes | Easily the best team in the B1G. Playing really well.  |
| Texas A&M Aggies | Win against Florida just looking better and better now. Only loss is to Bama. Only Auburn is a real big challenge the rest of the season too.  |
| Florida Gators | Had them 8th last week, but they beat UGA. Major win that probably knocked UGA out of the CFP. And it was a domination. UF's offense is really good. Good news for UF, they don't really have anyone on the schedule that poses a big threat. |
| Miami Hurricanes | Well only loss is to Clemson. Doesn't play ND. Back half of their schedule is more difficult than the start. We'll see if they are for real. They absolutely need to fire their DC. Offense is looking good now that they are allowing D'Eriq King to run the ball. Might have the best Special Teams (at least K and P) in the country, which sneakily helps.  |
| Wisconsin Badgers | Well if they ever play I expect them to be ranked higher. But it just seems kinda bad to keep them ranked so high if they don't play. So if they play and dominate Michigan, I'll bump them back up - even though Michigan isn't very good. |
| Oklahoma State Cowboys | Good win against KSt. They're still in the drivers seat in the B12. Big game against OU next though. And Texas is winning again who they lost too.  |
| Indiana Hoosiers | I mean Wins against PSU - who everyone though would be good pre-season, Rutgers - who has looked pretty solid in the games they've played, and now Michigan - who I guess is bad?  Either way they deserve to be ranked 3rd in the B1G. |
| Oregon Ducks | Honestly the P12 didn't start out so hot, even if they looked pretty good against Stanford. I'm bumping them down a few until they earn it a bit more. Okst is at the top of the B12 and they're 9th, so we'll see how the P12 performs after a few more games and readjust. |
| Cincinnati Bearcats | They're a good team in a bad conference. And this year with so few Non-Con games being played the P5 schools didn't really beat up on the G5 schools, which is why these schools are ranked so highly this year. I really don't think they'd beat any of the TOP P5 teams, which is why they aren't ranked ahead of any of P5 Conference leaders..  |
| Coastal Carolina Chanticleers | |
| Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns | |
| Iowa State Cyclones | |
| Marshall Thundering Herd | |
| BYU Cougars | I really don't get why people are acting like BYU has any impressive wins. They're basically no different than CC, Louisiana, and Marshall.  |
| Oklahoma Sooners | |
| USC Trojans | It wasn't pretty, but they won. First game, so we'll see if that's who they are, or if they'll start winning games like they should.  |
| Texas Longhorns | |
| Liberty Flames | I mean beat VTech and Syracuse and have NCSt and Coastal Carolina on the schedule. So they actually have a chance to solidify themselves as a top like 15 team tbh. Kinda crazy. But if they get those 2 wins, I think it EASILY puts them above BYU, Marshall, and shit maybe even Cincinnati too.  |
| SMU Mustangs | |
| Auburn Tigers | |
| Purdue Boilermakers | |
| Northwestern Wildcats |
