crownebeach Ballot for 2020 Week 十

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Nov. 8, 2020, 6:50 p.m.

Overall Rationale: I'm too busy to leave detailed comments but if you have questions about my ballot just tag me at u/crownebeach

Rank Team Reason
Wisconsin Badgers Covid mulligan. I've been high on Wisconsin since the preseason.
Alabama Crimson Tide
Ohio State Buckeyes Beating Penn State is cool now, so I'm docking the Buckeyes some credit, but they're still going to cruise in the East even if Indiana really is this good.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish I still don't think Ian Book is very good, but turn in a few more games like that and you'll have my attention.
Clemson Tigers If Clemson lost because of shoddy quarterback play, I would leave them around 2nd or 3rd, but they lost despite their backup quarterback's great game, and that's a much worse look.
BYU Cougars Even taking into account the Boise State quarterback situation, there's no reason BYU should have dropped this many points on them unless they're really, really good. Occam's Razor.
Oregon Ducks This game should have ended more like 35-27, but Oregon never threatened to lose and looked very dangerous in the option game. Defense has some question marks against size but looked good and speedy in coverage.
Texas A&M Aggies This feels too high, but it's hard to be too mad about a team that's only lost to Bama and whose best win just got better.
Cincinnati Bearcats
Florida Gators
Oklahoma State Cowboys Bench Spencer Sanders and I'll put you back in the top five. Seriously, he has cost you one game all on his own and nearly blown two more. You can't afford this against OU.
Marshall Thundering Herd
Georgia Bulldogs This is a long way to fall, but they didn't just lose to Florida -- they looked mostly uncompetitive.
Northwestern Wildcats Nebraska and Iowa are both good-not-great teams despite their records and beating Maryland is apparently not a gimme, according to Penn State
Miami Hurricanes
Iowa State Cyclones Don't mess around to Baylor. I need you to beat Texas.
Indiana Hoosiers Indiana in the playoff is the Cinderella ending we deserve.
Tulsa Golden Hurricane
Washington Huskies
UCF Knights
Oklahoma Sooners
USC Trojans
SMU Mustangs
Arizona State Sun Devils ASU outgained USC on a per-play basis. They lost 100% of their fumbles and an onside kick recovery, plus USC went a highly fortunate 5/8 on 4th down. Frankly, I strongly considered having them above USC.
San José State Spartans I think San Diego State is pretty good and SJSU turned on the jets in the second half. Room to climb or fall.
