nbingham196 Ballot for 2020 Week θ´

Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Nov. 1, 2020, 12:20 a.m.

Overall Rationale: Try to rank based off of each teams best wins and worse losses (or close games for undefeated)

Rank Team Reason
Alabama Crimson Tide Has the two best wins in the country with really no games they could have lost
Ohio State Buckeyes Mostly benefitting from Clemson looking vulnerable today. Still think Clemson, Bama, and OSU are basically tied
Clemson Tigers Looked vulnerable, but still clearly a large step ahead of anyone outside the top 3
Cincinnati Bearcats Cincinnati has now blown out possible top 25 teams two weeks in a row and look like they might run away with the conferance
Coastal Carolina Chanticleers I feel crazy putting them this high, but every other team lower than them other than BYU has a major flaw in their resume and Coastal has a win over a top 25 team (who also has a win over a top 25 team)
BYU Cougars BYU just keeps blowing mediocre teams out. If they can beat Boise next week, I could see them jumping even higher
Notre Dame Fighting Irish They are undefeated but the best team they have played is a 3-4 Pitt team and looked not great against a 2-5 Louisville team
Georgia Bulldogs They keep winning and looking ugly doing it. Their best win is over a 4-2 (or 2-4 depending on the refs) Auburn
Texas A&M Aggies They have the best win outside of the elite with their win over Florida, but they are super inconsistent also
Indiana Hoosiers Indiana might only lose to Ohio State
Wisconsin Badgers If Wisconsin can play enough games they should win their division
Marshall Thundering Herd A couple of above average wins, but really lack a huge statement win (unless App state runs though the harder part of their schedule)
Miami Hurricanes Only has the loss to Clemson, but doesn't really have a good win elsewhere
Florida Gators Mizzou was probably their best win this year, but their offense is really good and they only have the loss to A&M
Oklahoma State Cowboys Ok St has two wins over teams in my top 30, but the Texas loss is the worst among the top 15
Oregon Ducks My favorite to win the Pac 12. I could see them going undefeated in the regular season
USC Trojans I think USC could go to the Pac 12 championship game undefeated, but will likely lose it to Oregon
SMU Mustangs The mustangs just keep winning. Their blowout loss to Cinci is a mark against them though
Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns The Iowa St win continues to hold Louisiana in the top 25 despite less than stellar performances
Boise State Broncos The Broncos look like they probably will win the MWC again
Virginia Tech Hokies This is where I ran out of teams I thought should be ranked. Of the 3rd tier of the ACC VT has the best set of wins and losses. (Wins over BC and NC State and Losses to UNC and Wake)
Iowa State Cyclones 2 Losses to top 25 teams and 1 win over a top 25 team. They could go anywhere from here though in their games against the middle of the Big 12
North Carolina Tar Heels Has the best wins and the worst losses amongst the 3rd tier of the ACC (wins over VT, NC St, BC. Losses to FSU and UVA)
Wake Forest Demon Deacons Has the worst wins and the best losses among the 3rd tier of the ACC (Win over VT, Losses to Clemson and NC ST)
Oklahoma Sooners Two losses to top 40 teams, but no really good wins. This spot came down to NC St and Oklahoma but NC ST has had a bunch of blowout losses and close wins. Other teams considered were Tulsa, App St, Liberty, and Army, but none of them have a win over a team that is even remotely good
