Overall Rationale: See my poll from last week for an overall methodology explanation:├é┬áhttps://poll.redditcfb.com/ballot/48088/.I kept the methodology basically unchanged, but I'm working on a larger adjustment that I hope to share next week that makes a stronger attempt at tuning the model.Small adjustments: There's only one team with the best record this season, SMU at 4-0, and they nearly got ranked at 27. The 25th spot purely by the algorithm would have gone to UCF. I've dropped NDSU after a shaky performance against Central Arkansas, and don't anticipate ranking them again this fall.Here's how teams that I think might end up ranked looked like in my algorithm: #26 Auburn, #29 Coastal Carolina, #35 USC, #36 Louisiana, #37 Texas, #38 Kansas State, #41 Marshall, #46 Texas A&M, #56 Iowa State.I don't expect to see Air Force, Iowa, Washington, Memphis, or Boise State ranked.
