Ballot Type: Hybrid
Submitted: Nov. 17, 2019, 11:35 a.m.
Overall Rationale: Keeping the 11 teams with the most realistic shots left ranked at the top. As always I won't rank multiple teams from the same conference in the top 4 since those games will always be decided on the field.
Rank | Team | Reason |
---|---|---|
1 |
![]() |
(Computer #1: Ohio State) The defense is sorta shit, but still have solid major wins. |
2 |
![]() |
(Computer #2: LSU) Could easily argue they're the best team, I even think they're the best team. They've got great wins and don't ever struggle. Two top 15 teams to close the season could land them #1 for good. |
3 |
![]() |
(Computer #3: Clemson) Have been the solid #3 team for weeks and weeks now. I'd pick them over LSU because Clemson plays defense as well as offense. |
4 |
![]() |
(Computer #4: Penn State) Since there are now no other undefeated teams this spot went to the next highest rated 1 loss team from another conference. Oregon will likely land here if they win out, especially if Utah wins their final two games as well. |
5 |
![]() |
(Computer #5: Notre Dame) On the road, without some star players, down big at halftime. Still won. The KSU game is a head scratcher and I don't believe they could beat any of the undefeateds, buttttt maybe? |
6 |
![]() |
(Computer #6: Wisconsin) Tough loss on the road where seemingly nothing was going their way. Kept high for a better win than Bama, Baylor, or Utah, and a better singular win than Georgia and H2H over PSU. |
7 |
![]() |
(Computer #7: Georgia) PSU picked up a close win over a good Indiana team now they get OSU. Ahead of UGA for a much better loss. |
8 |
![]() |
(Computer #8: Oregon) If they had beaten the terrible South Carolina team that's not even making a bowl game they'd probably outrank LSU. They have three ranked wins which is fantastic, but an absolutely abysmal loss. |
9 |
![]() |
(Computer #9: Michigan) Utterly dominated a UCLA team that was on a winning streak, but still no signature win, though they don't have as bad of  a loss as UGA since USC is 7-4 and could still win the conference. |
10 |
![]() |
(Computer #10: Auburn) No Tua probably won't matter for their last two games, but it should impact their chance of undeservedly sneaking into the playoff.  |
11 |
![]() |
(Computer #11: Alabama) Baylor had the game against OU pretty much won, if they could've scored AT ALL in the second half. |
12 |
![]() |
(Computer #12: Florida) The loss to Illinois is keeping the battle for the Axe from being legendary, though it still determines the West.  |
13 |
![]() |
(Computer #13: Oklahoma) They're pretty much a lock for a good NY6 slot. Against Michigan because time is a flat circle. |
14 |
![]() |
(Computer #14: Utah) Could this be the year they beat OSU? Probably not. Otherwise they're playing great. |
15 |
![]() |
(Computer #15: Iowa) They thoroughly destroyed Navy. Solid win. Two ranked losses, wins against a handful of 7 win teams. |
16 |
![]() |
(Computer #16: USC) Somehow played elite offense? |
17 |
![]() |
(Computer #17: Baylor) Dug themselves too much of a hole early on. What a season of "what could've been.." also known as typical Auburn season. |
18 |
![]() |
(Computer #18: Minnesota) Memphis was actually #27 in my computer because a lot of their wins keep losing and costing them points. They're playing great though and will likely make the Cotton Bowl. |
19 |
![]() |
(Computer #19: Cincy) Battle for the division against USU next week. It'll be an upset if Boise doesn't win the MWC. |
20 |
![]() |
(Computer #20: Boise State) Navy and Tulane to close out and potentially finish 11-1..yet not even make the AACCG.  |
21 |
![]() |
(Computer #21: SMU) Cincy hasn't looked great the last few weeks, when they've played teams with a pulse at least. Cotton Bowl is still up for grabs though if they win out. |
22 |
![]() |
(Computer #22: Texas) A beat down of a bipolar Georgia State team. |
23 |
![]() |
(Computer #23: Iowa State) Air Force was #26 in my computer poll so this isn't that much of a reach, and had they played and won their postponed game against UNM last week they'd be here anyways. |
24 |
![]() |
(Computer #24: App State) Jumping in on a bye week? They don't have great wins, and two losses to teams on the cusp of being bowl eligible but also two ranked losses. IDK my computer likes them, and they are a few plays away from being a 1 loss team.  |
25 |
![]() |
(Computer #25: Washington) My computer has liked USC for a bit, probably because of the win against Utah and three ranked losses (according to the computer at least) They're inconsistent, but on any given day have enough talent to beat anyone. And on any given day have the coaching to lose to anyone. |
