1 LSU Tigers It's honestly hard to see an argument against LSU at #1, other than that Ohio State is so good. I give LSU the edge over OSU because of their wins, but I think both teams are playing better than anyone else in the country.
2 Ohio State Buckeyes A great case to be #1 with a massacre of Wisconsin yet again. The Penn State matchup is now looking interesting, but I'm not sure anyone can stop Ohio State this year. 
3 Alabama Crimson Tide The LSU game will obviously decide a lot, but Alabama's offense kept rolling even without Tua and their defense has been steadily improving while their young players gain experience.
4 Clemson Tigers After the UNC game, Clemson is playing very inspired. In any other year, they'd still be top 2, but LSU and OSU are simply playing great football.
5 Penn State Nittany Lions Penn State is still winning. Even with the nailbiters, they're 8-0. The Minnesota game is starting to look a bit interesting, as well.
6 Florida Gators The highest one loss team on the poll, Florida has the best loss in the country, a (relatively) close loss to LSU away. The Cocktail Party will be huge this year, essentially deciding the East once again. Unlike past years, I think Florida has a good chance. Great defense.
7 Georgia Bulldogs Despite Georgia's offensive struggles, I think they still belong in the top 10. They need to get their offense going before they return to their elite status, but there's still plenty of time for that. For now, they need to win the Cocktail Party in order to keep their playoff hopes alive.
8 Oregon Ducks Props to Oregon for squeaking out wins against two pretty good teams. They're the favorite to win the PAC 12 right now, so they just have to do what they have to do in order to claim that conference.
9 Utah Utes Utah is 7-1. They also have a good shot at competing for the PAC 12, as they'll likely meet Oregon in the championship game. 
10 Oklahoma Sooners Oklahoma takes a tumble after their loss to Kansas State, but Kansas State is not a bad team. Most playoff teams have this type of loss in the regular season, so I don't doubt that Oklahoma will still be the favorite to win the Big 12.
