Ballot Type: Human
Submitted: Oct. 29, 2019, 9:53 a.m.
Overall Rationale: A bit more controversial this week, as I attempted to think through what my computer model would likely argue. Hopefully I'll have that up and can switch to a hybrid ballot in November. First N Out - San Diego State

The Tigers continue to look incredibly impressive and have a week to prepare themselves for the biggest test of their season. |

Ohio State continues to dominate the Big Ten, though they still have some major tests left. |

I'm tired of saying I don't know how good Penn State is; they're 8-0, their opponents have won 61% of their non-Penn State games, well above the marks set by Alabama and Clemson's, and they have more wins against 6-win teams (2) than Alabama and Clemson combined (0). |
4 |

Alabama showed they can win without Tua, but the more important question at the moment is if they can beat top-ranked LSU. |
5 |
![]() |
Clemson is by no means a bad football team, but they've had the misfortune of playing some pretty bad teams, making it hard for them to distinguish themselves. |

Despite the loss, Florida looks like a top team with the best shot at the SEC East. |
7 |
![]() |
Oregon has come surging back from an early-season loss to Auburn to be comfortably in my top 10. |
8 |
![]() |
Georgia was in the doghouse for a while, following their loss to South Carolina, but a win over Florida can really help them move back into my good graces. |
9 |
![]() |
Two top-ten Pac-12 teams may seem like a lot, but Utah has won some big games and has a good shot at the conference championship. |
10 |
![]() |
A tough loss to Kansas State drops the Sooners. |
11 |
![]() |
Baylor jumps due to a combination of other teams losing and the sheer difficulty of going 7-0. |
12 |
![]() |
The last of the undefeated P5 teams, Minnesota has a week off before hoping to show they can play with the big boys. |
13 |
![]() |
Undefeated(!) SMU has a chance for a big win on the national stage this weekend. |
14 |
![]() |
Auburn has had a rough go of it in terms of losses, but it's grown harder to put them over some of the nation's other top teams. |
15 |
![]() |
The last of the FBS unbeatens, the Mountaineers rise to my top 15. |
16 |
![]() |
One close loss to a surprisingly-decent Louisville team has kept the Demon Deacons from Cinderella status. |
17 |
![]() |
After a couple close losses to top teams, Iowa has a break before taking on the stumbling Badgers. |
18 |
![]() |
Michigan won in a big way over Notre Dame, but, at this point, it's hard for me to give the Wolverines the benefit of the doubt. |
19 |
![]() |
The Bearcats had a tough loss to Ohio State early in the season, but have looked good ever since. |
20 |
![]() |
Wisconsin has had a rough go of things with two consecutive losses, but they'll look to get back on track win the B1G West. |
21 |
![]() |
Clobbered by the Wolverines, Notre Dame looks much less good moving forward. |
22 |
![]() |
The BYU loss still stings for the Broncos. |
23 |
![]() |
A big win over a great Oklahoma propels the Wildcats back into my top 25. |
24 |
![]() |
Memphis has looked very good this season and has a chance to knock off on of the few remaining undefeated teams this weekend. |
25 |
![]() |
Sure, they've only played FCS teams, but the Bison still look solid, unlike a lot of FBS teams. |
