stripes361 Ballot for 2018 Week 13

Ballot Type: Hybrid

Submitted: Nov. 19, 2018, 7:17 p.m.

Overall Rationale: Performance/team quality ranking, based primarily on ESPN's FPI and Football Outsiders' S&P+ rankings. Not intended to be a resume ranking. Teams moved up and down from their spots in the computer rankings based on eye test, coaching, QB play, and other subjective factors.

Rank Team Reason
Alabama Crimson Tide
Clemson Tigers
Georgia Bulldogs
Michigan Wolverines
Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Oklahoma Sooners
Ohio State Buckeyes
UCF Knights Biggest mover of the week for me. Finally jumping them up into the Top 10 after an impressive dismantling of Cincinnati.
Penn State Nittany Lions
West Virginia Mountaineers WVU is the only team in my Top 24 that lost last week. They drop a couple spots but, honestly, barely losing on the road to a solid Oklahoma State squad does not substantially change my, or the computers', view of them. I've moved a couple other teams around one or two spots based on MOV and changing computer numbers but the only remaining big change in my ballot for this week is the #25 team.
Washington Huskies
Mississippi State Bulldogs
Utah Utes
LSU Tigers
Washington State Cougars
Fresno State Bulldogs
Boise State Broncos
Utah State Aggies
Texas A&M Aggies
Auburn Tigers
Missouri Tigers
Iowa Hawkeyes
Florida Gators
Wisconsin Badgers
Stanford Cardinal Stanford is 21st in FPI and 28th in S&P+ and all four of their losses have come against Top 15 teams in my ballot. I agonized over this pick as Texas is equally (many will say more) deserving but I'm letting their relatively poor S&P+ rating of 8.0 hold them back for now.
