Ballot Type: Human

Submitted: Oct. 22, 2018, 9:56 a.m.

Rank Team Reason
Notre Dame Fighting Irish Undefeated, Best wins are Michigan and Stanford.
Clemson Tigers Undefeated. Best wins are Texas A&M and NC State.
Alabama Crimson Tide Undefeated. Best win is Texas A&M.
LSU Tigers LSU is my top 1 loss team. Best win is over Georgia. Also have wins over Miami, Auburn, and Miss State
Texas Longhorns Texas only has 1 loss, but that's to Maryland. They have a very good win over Oklahoma, though.
Michigan Wolverines Second highest one loss team. Only loss is to Notre Dame. Best win is Wisconsin. Also have a win over Michigan State.
Florida Gators Florida only has 1 loss (Kentucky). Best win is LSU.
Kentucky Wildcats Kentucky only has 1 loss (Texas A&M) and has a very good win over Florida.
Washington State Cougars Washington State makes a big jump in my poll this week. They got a very nice win over Oregon, and their previous win over Utah looks even better this week as well, with Utah sitting alone atop the south. Washington State looks like the team to beat in the Pac12 right now. They have a huge matchup with Stanford this week.
West Virginia Mountaineers 5-1, only loss is to Iowa State. Best win is Texas Tech.
Ohio State Buckeyes Buckeyes looked pretty bad in a blowout loss to Purdue. They've got some issues that need to be fixed. Still only have one loss though and they have a nice win over Penn State.
Texas A&M Aggies Texas A&M may be a little bit overrated here, but they have a nice win over Kentucky (6-1) and their only losses are to Alabama and Clemson. They play Mississippi State next week.
NC State Wolfpack Might still be a little overrated. Only loss is to Clemson. Best wins are Virginia (5-2) and Boston College (5-2).
Washington Huskies The Pac12 is a mess and absurdly hard to rank, with a round robin of teams that have beat each other. Washington lost to Oregon. Oregon lost to Stanford. Stanford lost to Utah. Utah lost to Washington. Where does that leave us? Luckily, we get more games to see who belongs where, but for now I'm going with Washington here. They lost a close one on the road to Oregon, but handled Utah, who has looked very good lately.
Utah Utes Utah gets my next spot in the Pac12 mess, after manhandling USC, they look to be in a commanding position in the Pac12 south.
Georgia Bulldogs Georgia sitting with one loss, hasn't played again since getting destroyed by LSU. despite dominating most of their competition, they really haven't beaten anyone good, so I have them lower than most polls.
Oklahoma Sooners Oklahoma only has the 1 loss (Texas) but they haven't really beaten anyone worth mentioning. Best win is an overtime game at home against Army. Next best is... Baylor?
Iowa Hawkeyes Hawkeyes got a nice win over Maryland this weekend. They've got a huge matchup with Penn State this weekend. A win could put them in the drivers seat in the West.
UCF Knights Undefeated, playing nobody.
Stanford Cardinal Stanford has a nice win over Oregon that keeps them this high. They play Washington State this week and that is huge.
Oregon Ducks
Virginia Cavaliers 2 losses are rough, but coming off nice wins over Miami and Duke.
USF Bulls Still undefeated.
Texas Tech Red Raiders 2 losses, best wins are Houston (6-1) and Oklahoma State.
Penn State Nittany Lions Penn State has 2 losses, but is really lacking quality wins. Big chance to fix that with a game against Iowa this week.
