Overall Rationale: Poll's idea is that losses don't count to a team that's ranked above the losing team.  Teams are then ranked based on who they beat to line up the victor above the loser.   This works up well in the SEC with a train of team a beat team b who beat team c...  Teams that have 1 loss to unranked teams are then ranked by quality of loss first then quality of wins, again with victor above teams they beat.  However, this gets messy in the pac 10 with Oregon, Stanford.  In this case Oregon's WSU's loss is not counted and Oregon's Stanford loss is counted as their first quality loss.
