Hey_Its_Roomie Ballot for 2018 Week 8

Ballot Type: Hybrid

Submitted: Oct. 15, 2018, 5:13 p.m.

Overall Rationale: Formula has been revised again (somewhat). Still all the same criteria, just slightly re-proportioned, to better fit my intentions and fix a problem that teams were in the Top 44 and 25 were getting bonus points because their opponents had to play them as Top 25/44 teams (bad circular logic that only propelled the people already in the front egregiously). Still a hybrid poll though overall, and helps adjust teams in certain aspects. In the meanwhile, so long PSU, Wisconsin and Washington! RIP your playoff dreams.

Rank Team Reason
Notre Dame Fighting Irish Another rough win for ND, but with Clemson on bye-week, ND's 7 FBS wins to Clemson's 5 is enough justification for ND to take the leap for this week.
Clemson Tigers
Alabama Crimson Tide
LSU Tigers
Ohio State Buckeyes
Florida Gators
Michigan Wolverines
Texas Longhorns
NC State Wolfpack
Kentucky Wildcats
Oklahoma Sooners
Georgia Bulldogs
Iowa Hawkeyes Iowa's the highest ranked B1G West member, and Top 15. Just like we all expected.
West Virginia Mountaineers
Appalachian State Mountaineers With the upsets and drastic growth of 2-loss teams, App State finally has enough argument to not only appear, but surge in the rankings, and become the top G5 as well.
UCF Knights UCF was lackluster in their first real opponent of the season. But the ugly win is always better than a pretty loss; UCF continues their win-streak and hops over USF as they continue to falter endlessly.
Cincinnati Bearcats
USF Bulls How are you guys still undefeated?
Army West Point Army becomes the top 2-loss team, as the group of them finally appear in my poll. Actually Army is supposed to have been ranked for the past 2 or 3 according to my computer rankings, but I felt the 2-loss teams didn't quite have a resume to compare (even with Army having 1 of them in OT). But now they're up here and set to continue rising.
Texas A&M Aggies
Texas Tech Red Raiders
Mississippi State Bulldogs
USC Trojans
Duke Blue Devils
Stanford Cardinal
