Overall Rationale: BLOOD WEEK took a toll on my rankings. Honestly, everything outside of the top 3 was kind of challenging. Especially the block of SEC teams at 8-11 (which I talk about a little in the LSU vote).

I'll be honest, I didn't really want to keep ND at 4. But BLOOD WEEK kind of forced my hand - most of my top 10 from last week lost this week (5 losses, 4 wins, 1 bye). Even going to the top 15 only adds 1 win( and 2 losses, and 2 byes). Maybe the Pitt game was just an aberration. Or PITTMAGIC. But the best team left on their schedule is USC (maybe NW). Going undefeated should be the expectation. And if that happens, I can't see them being out of the playoff. |

I liked Michigan's win this week better than ND's. But there's that head to head that is hard to ignore. |

Probably too high. But, again, BLOOD WEEK happened. A 1 point road win against one of the two teams that has given them any trouble (USF) over the last season and a half is probably still worth something. |

I dropped LSU at lot after losing to Florida. Even as a Gator I still really didn't believe in the Gators. So I penalized LSU for that loss probably a little too heavily. This whole block of 4 SEC teams was difficult for me to put together. Kentucky should be ahead of Florida and LSU should be ahead of Georgia. But Florida should probably be ahead of LSU - maybe. Though I can't really justify putting Florida above Georgia right now. This should get sorted over the next couple of weeks. |
