Rank Team Reason
UCF Knights It could be for the memes, or it could be because I believe the Citronauts got screwed, or I could legitimately believe that UCF is No. 1. You don't know. UCF is making a statement right now. It's time someone called out the CFP committee. I'm glad they did what they did. It's not unreasonable to put them here. Call me crazy, but it's not unreasonable to rank the only remaining undefeated team in the FBS as No. 1.
Alabama Crimson Tide
Georgia Bulldogs
Oklahoma Sooners
Ohio State Buckeyes
Wisconsin Badgers
Penn State Nittany Lions
Clemson Tigers Clemson really was not deserving of that No. 1 ranking. Alabama proved it.
Auburn Tigers
TCU Horned Frogs
Oklahoma State Cowboys
USC Trojans I'm gonna take this time to say that the West as a region took a hard hit in reputation this season at the P5, G5, and FCS levels. Pac cannibalized itself and had the poor bowl showing. The MWC couldn't produce a team with fewer than 3 losses. And the Big Sky was just awful, flopping in the playoffs, even against non-scholarship teams, along with traditional powers failing miserably. USC won a P5 conference, but even this might be too high for them. P5 and AAC might be relatively equal here.
Washington Huskies
Miami Hurricanes Might seem harsh, but man, that was an ugly end of season collapse.
Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Michigan State Spartans
Boise State Broncos Boise's had a pretty good season.
Northwestern Wildcats
South Carolina Gamecocks
USF Bulls
Iowa State Cyclones Beating a Top 25 team at their home field for a bowl game is pretty good when combined with their month of October. This is an 8-5 worth ranking.
Memphis Tigers Only losses are to teams I've ranked and they have some decent wins.
LSU Tigers
Iowa Hawkeyes
FAU Owls You don't win 10 games in a row, even if it is in C-USA, without being pretty darn good.
