Overall Rationale: See previous polls for explanation of my computer's method. It is meant to be predictive, though it was much more successful last year than this year (due to more chaos this year perhaps?). This ranking starts from a preseason ranking and adjusts from there. If I were instead to use the same formula and start from all teams being equal, I would get: 1) OU 2) UGA 3) Wisconsin 4) tOSU 5) Clemson 6) PSU 7) Bama 8) Auburn 9) Ok St 10) TCU 11) UCF. The ranking with preseason component does not rank UCF in the top 25, which I don't like, so I replaced FSU, originally at 21, with UCF. I am interested to test which of these methods (with or without a preseason component) works better for picking bowl games this year.
